It'd be cool if some items that drop more frequently could get a value increase (selling to NPC). That way there'd be more ways to earn gold for newer players. An existing example is Fake Documentation. This way we could at least earn back the money spent for cakes while leveling and hopefully make some profit to buy equipment.

This should be an easy change as the data is basically contained in a text file if I remember correctly.

Increase by how much?
10%? Would hardly feel the difference.
100%? Would inflate the game with money and it would ultimately lead to exploitation of stronger people (I'm not saying "pro" people would farm Smugglers, but I'm sure this would benefit the lv50-60 voys more than it would benefit the lower level people trying to level up there). And let's not forget bots or people semi-afk farming on other clients.

I do agree with the current ways of making money being very "unfriendly" (read: boring, tedious and not diverse), but I don't think this is a way to tackle that problem, if we can even call it that, since making money depends on what the market needs.

I think the ways of making money in TOP/PKO have always been hard.. I like the fact that this server is hardcore. Let's keep it that way ?

I'd only change the prices of a few items. There are some mobs which have a lower defense and HP compared to others. They're perfect for leveling. Lets say that an item of that mob has a drop rate of around 50% and gives around 30 gold when sold to NPC. I'd increase that to 50 or 60 gold. This wouldn't break the economy as this is basically only 5k or 6k per stack (Fake Documentation gives around 9k per stack for example). I'd go up to 90-100 gold max per item and do it for the first few low HP & def mobs only, or those up to level 40. It wouldn't be even worth using a drop amplifier on those as the profit is too low.

For the bots, those would be the expected places to look for them so they're screwed . Just like at smugglers.
