Hello,

I have been having issues with my client not starting. When I double click on the PKO icon nothing happens. I check the background processes, there it is. I try opening it again, first without ending the proccess - Can't launch more than one copy of launcher. I restart my computer, issue persisted. I reinstall PKO - the first time I had the issue it worked, the 2nd time, after the reinstall, I still had the issue. I wait a few hours - it works. The next day - doesn't work again. I wait a few minutes, the updater starts but it does not update. Nothing appears in the chat or in the news fields (see attachment) and I can't start.

I have windows 10, Intel Celeron 2.16 GHz, 4GB RAM. The game used to work for a few weeks until yesterday. I have not made any changes to the computer, I have not installed any new apps since then. I know my Laptop is bad but it's good enough for pko.

also disable your anti virus. if you are using avast. try puting the pko folder on the exclusion list. you can find it on the settings on your avast anti virus. after that try version checking it.
 
As our player MadRage suggested, antivirus are almost always known to interfere any new programs being downloaded/installed to your PC. If you do not know how, then you must contact your product's support center/line to find appropriate steps to uninstall that product. No antivirus or firewall should be complicated for anyone to struggle turn off or modify the white list.

Yea, I just uninstalled MCaffee and added PKO to the Windows Firewall exceptions. Still not working. Uninstalled PKO and now I am waiting for the setup to download once more.

Ok, I downloaded setup again, added it to windows firewall, disabled smartscreen on the installer, added it to exclusions for Windows Defender. Ran it as admin, still nothing
 
can you check the file you downloaded if you really downloaded it full? maybe the file you just downloaded is just 300mb when the full file is 419mb. kindly check.
 
iam actually using it on an unlicensed windows 7 OS(also corrupted) and its working fine. but i get blue screen of death every now and then xD
 
I really hope you can try to fix it bro.
I SUGGEST. try reformatting your laptop? it makes your laptop works faster and probably will fix your client issue.

hey i know this is an old post, but i am actually having the same problem right now, i also have McAfee but i disabled the firewall.
 
You need to uninstall mcafee to play PKO.
