Hello,
I'm an old TOP/PKO player returning back, and I would like to play the Crusader one more time in this game.
What was the stat priority that should be achieved?
This is what I remember:
I should prioritize Agility until my Attack Speed reaches 220 (or was it 210?).
During the Attack Speed increase, should I also put my stats in Strength and some in Constitution, so I don't go only all-out Agility?
I was thinking of a 3-1-1 stat distribution, 3 Dex, 1 Str, 1 Con.
Crusader stat point distribution is a complex matter, due to different setups outputting different results, which are better suited for different situations.
Without going too in-depth, the idea is to add enough Agility (agi) to achieve 210 attack speed in your desired "mode" while having a healthy mix of Strength (Str) to ensure you actually do damage, not just have high attack speed and a high slash multiplier.
When I say mode, there's technically 4 different setups you can have regarding 210 attack speed:
1) Passive 210 attack speed
2) 210 attack speed under buffs
3) 210 attack speed under berserk
4) 210 attack speed under buffs AND berserk
Suffice to say, each of these modes requires different amounts of agi, letting you distribute more or less Str in return. Likewise, each of them is more fitting for different scenarios and, as mentioned at the beginning of this post, brings out different results.
How much base agi is needed for each of them is an open question as well - it depends a lot on which equipment you're using; also, each of these builds is bound to converge towards another one as you gain more and more agi/aspd from your gear, gems and skills.
The idea is to plan ahead. There's a powerful simulator tool on the website here (link) which lets you test practically any setup with any equipment, skill levels and so on. It's good to decide which build you'd like to go for as early as possible. Test how much agi is needed for it on a certain gear setup, then see how your attack speed behaves on a better setup, and so on and so forth. There's no simple answer such as "40 base agi" or "20 base agi", in the end, it's up to preference and constant tweaking.
As for "Dex" (I assume you mean Acc - accuracy), it's not worth adding it, much like Constitution (Con). You mainly want to focus on Str and Agi, until you're a high level and well gemmed. At that point, you can consider adding Con in the mix, but for a long time to come, you'll mainly prioritize Str and Agi balance to get your desired build.
I'm currently working on a Crusader guide which covers the stat topic (among others) which should be uploaded soon. Stay tuned...

Well, I be damned, never expected an answer this long.
First, allow me to thank you.
Second, by "Dex" I actually meant "Agility" (been playing a shit-ton of D&D and the concept of Agility has been totally overwritten for me).
By stat distribution 3-1-1, I meant if I should put 3 points in Agi, 1 Str, 1 Con (and rinse and repeat) until I get to attack speed of 210, or just focus mainly on Agility and throw some points in Strength/Con now and then whenever I feel too weak.
Point is that I'm back on the server to enjoy a game I pretty much loved playing 10-11 years ago. I don't have that much time to bother to play "competitively" (actively do CA/FC/DS, you pick); but I also want to have a decent build to carry my own ass throughout the game and enjoy it, be it alone or with someone else, in whatever spare time I have.
And about the guide, I'll be honest: I am really looking forward to it. Back in the days I never put much thought into how I built my characters, but now that I'm - obviously - older, it became an enjoyable part of leveling up.
Edit: I also remember there are skills that give you some damage and attack speed, am I right? (Not buffs, I mean passive bonuses).

Well, as I said earlier, ignore con entirely until lv75 or so (but even then, it's not a must to put it in stats). For now, focus on str and agi. I like to put a bit of str at the start (20-30) and then focus on adding as much agi as I need (again, this depends on the setup you're going for in the short (or long) run). When that's done, it's back to spamming str as high as it goes.
I never liked builds with "ratios", as those seem more like eyeballing than anything. Usually you either pump one stat entirely, or you want to reach a (more-less) specific amount. So my advice is to use the simulator, plan ahead and prioritize one stat/objective instead of spreading points all over the place.

That's what I'm doing with the stats. Putting in a bit of Str then letting all of it flow in Agi.
The ratio was just to get an idea about the stat distribution, but I suppose that is up to each individual how they like to do it or not.
Thanks for the link and for spending your time on my question. You rock!
