1. Introduction

First of all I am writing this guide to help the players on our forums. This guide will show you 2 different builds that a crusader can have.

Here are some typical questions:

What is a slash?

Slash is a short cut of the Illusion Slash which is the most powerful skill in Pirate King Online.


What is a slasher?

A slasher is a crusader which focused on the max. damage of his most powerful skill - the Slash.


How can we raise the damage of our slash?

- the level of your illusion slash
- base damage
- attack speed (you will get multipliers at 140 and 210 attack speed)




2. Crusader Skills

Concentration: It is a passive skill which increase hit rate of character. It is needed to hit your target successful and is very important for crusaders.

Sword Mastery: It is a passive skill which increase the base attack by 4 points for each level when using swords.

Will of Steel: It increases the defensive by 3 points for each level. Time duration: 15seconds.
* It is useless

Break Armor: It decreases the defensive by 4 points for each level. Time duration 15seconds.

Tiger Roar: It decreases attack and movement speed of enemy in an area. It decrease the attack by 3 and the movement speed by -1% for each level.
Time duration 15seconds.

Illusion Slash: Ranged energy attack which is the most powerful skill in Tales Of Pirates. You can increase the damage of this skill with increasing attack according to skill level, your base damage and your attack speed.

Beserk: It increases your attack speed.

Dual Sword Mastery: A passive skill which increases effectiveness of off-hand sword by 8% per level. A crusaders most important passive skill in my opinion.

Blood Frenzy: A passive skill which increase your attack speed for each level which is very necessary for a powerful slash.

Shadow Slash: It deals damage and knock out a single target for 3.5 seconds. Each additional level the stun extend 0.5 seconds.

Poison Dart: It poisons an opponent and deal 12 damage per sec, last for 17s. Each additional level increase 2 damage and extend 2s.

Deftness: It increases dodge by 3 points per level and is necessary for Str & Agi Crusaders.

Stealth: Makes a crusader invisible for 30seconds and for each additional level extend time by 5seconds.


3. Skill Distribution

Here are the skills you HAVE to max/The most important skills for crusaders:

There are several ways to skill your crusader right. Here is a suggestion:


Lv1-30

Lv0 Concentration -> Lv2
Lv0 Sword Mastery -> Lv3
Lv0 Illusion Slash -> Lv10
Lv0 Beserk -> Lv5

Lv31-40

Save the skills points! You need the other skills points for the crusader skills.


Lv40-49

Lv0 Dual Mastery -> Lv8
Lv0 Deftness -> Lv3
Lv0 Blood Frenzy -> Lv5
Lv0 Shadow Slash -> Lv3
Lv0 Stealth -> 3

Lv50-60

Lv8 Dual Mastery -> Lv10
Lv5 Blood Frenzy -> Lv10
Lv3 Shadow Slash -> Lv7

Above Lv60

Keep leveling your character and try to max. these skills:

1. Shadow Slash
2. Deftness
3. Sword Mastery

If you are done with maxing the 3 skills, feel free to skill Concentration(to increase your hit rate) or Stealth(to increase the extend time).

* Deftness should be maxed at first if you want to make the standard build for crusaders.

4. The Crusader Builds

General tips:

Why do I have to get 140 or 210 attack speed???
It will increase the slash damage extremely which makes you to a killing machine.

210 attack speed


How high you actually pump your agi to reach 210 attack speed will be determined by what equipment you will use. The players are often skilling 55 or 60 Agi at first.
60 Agi: It will be pretty easy to get 210 attack Speed in the beginning
55 Agi: It is for players who aren't lazy and for mallers. It isn't easy to get 210 attack speed with 55 agi but it is possible!

I suggest to add these stats:
Lv1-35
5 Agi -> 55 Agi (you don't need to skill agi anymore if you choose the harder way)
Lv36-41
Harder way:
55 Agi
5 Str -> 10 Str
Easier way:
55 Agi -> 60 Agi
5 Str
* You dont need to add so much agi of course. But it is easier to reach 210 attack speed if you follow the steps of my suggestion.

140 attack speed

I never had a crusader with 140 attack speed to be honest but I think you need 5-25 Agi to reach this amount of speed.

4.1. Standard Build - Dodging Slasher

This build has become the standard builds for crusaders and it is very simple. As a Dodging Slasher you have to focus on attack speed to increase the damage of your slash and to dodge everything.

So here are the steps to become a Dodging Slasher (it is pretty simple..):

1. First of all you have to reach 210 attack speed which is very important to be a good slasher (check the "General Tips" for more information)
2. Now you can choose 2 ways.

The first way:
Just keep skilling your agi until you reached the limit and put the other stat points to Str.
Pros:
- your crusader will be extremly fast!
- noone can touch your character because they keep missing
- good damage

Cons:
- you will be an easy target( you will dodge the melee attacks but what about the skills?)
- low defense with no chance to add to base con even at higher lvls

The second way:
Skill your str until you reached the limit and put the other stat points to agi.

Pros:
- your crusader will be fast
- high damage
- you are able to dodge their attacks

Cons:
- you will be an easy target
- low defense with no chance to add to base con even at higher lvls


4.2. Tanking Slasher


This build is a very hard one but you can be one of the most powerful crusader if you choose the Tanking Slasher build.
You will be FAR.. FAR away from being an overpowered crusader at the beginning. But when you reached a high level, when you have good equipment and the proper gems, your crusader will be unstoppable.

So here are the steps to become a Tanking Slasher:
1. First of all you have to reach 140 or 210 attack speed which is very important if you want to be a good slasher (check the "General Tips" for more information)
2. Now you can choose 3 ways.

The first way:
Skill your con until you reached the limit and put the other stat points to agi.

Pros:
- your crusader will be extremely fast
- you will be able to tank the players
- no one can touch your character because they keep missing

Cons:
- low damage -> Some players will be able to tank you


The second way:
Skill your str until you reached the limit and put the other stat points to con.

Pros:
- high damage
- good HP
- good defense

Cons:
- low attack speed
- low dodge


The third way:
Skill your con until you reached the limit and put the other stat points to str.

Pros:
- good damage
- high HP
- high defense

Cons:
- low attack speed
- low dodge

Hmm, Your ss guide is nice, but crusader one.. There are good points, ofc, but i just want people to understand few issures crusader have on server like that. Every stat is a treasure, literraly. If you just go for 210 aspd passive with 5% aspd swords each, it will be hard to make use of this build later on. It is better to start with way way way lower aspd actually.

There is one important item people don't know, it is scalled Scale fish ring, it gives 5% aspd and you can get it while doing story quest, after behemoth one actually. Get it. It is good. As for aspd, i prefer to have 210 aspd while buffed, not passive. There is no point to pk with no buffs anyway.
As for buffed, with Eva set(lvl 50 chest equipment), you will need only 45 base agi to reach 210 aspd buffed. 42 with Enigma boots/gloves/armor.

i won't make wall for now, i better write my own guide later, but here is what you absolutly have to know, if you are newbie:
Swords from enigma chest are trash, swords from eva chests are better. People only use enigma sword, if they have too much agility, that way they can have a little bit more attack while retaining their 210 aspd, but it just mean they did not thought their build out from the start.
Resting stats will be hard on this server, probably very expensive.

You don't need to have exactly 210 aspd but that is the point from which your slash is multiplied.
In other words:
210 and more ASPD = strongest slash you can achieve.
209 and below = weaker slash

Legends say that those who've fully read this guide have access to unlimited knowledge. Agreed though, amazing guide if you have the time and patience to read it fully, sadly it's a bit outdated and a lot of information there is simply not viable anymore, so you have to read it critically and focus on the idea/premise, rather than the builds and numbers themselves.
