Is there a Swordman/Crusader slash cap, depending on your atatck speed?

i've heard rumours, saying that if you dont get above certain amouth of atatck speed, you wont slash as hard as you could be? Some say it lays at around 210, but idk

Can anyone confirm? is it true, do i need to reach a specific amouth of attack speed in order to increase my slashing damage? or can i just go full STR crus, and go full ham and slash hard or?

Whats good?

Having 140 attack speed will double your base slash, while having 210 attack speed will further increase it by 50%, so the total slash will be triple the base value.

Naturally, due to the limited stats here (level and stat limitations), it's a good idea to work your build around having 210 aspd, either with buffs or with zerk, or heck even passively. Although it's worthwhile to shove a bunch of agi, it will severely cripple your damage, since you'll be lacking str and max. Considering you'll eventually get a lot of attack speed and agi (BoEs, 70 Frame, UG Winds), it's worthwhile using a build that can work out for you while you're aiming for the above mentioned things, otherwise, if you overdo it, you'll probably have to reset some agi later. (Assuming you won't be going above 210 aspd).

Ahh man, loving these clear responses!! ill def try to aim for the specific Attackspeed, but it will be hard, as my current goal is to achive lv 55

Want my recommendation? Use this: http://pirate.mmosite.com/tool/stat_simulator.shtml

BUT, BUT, BUT!

I recommend you don't use the "Item Bonus" feature, as I've heard it's a bit bugged, additionally, you can't add attack speed % you'd get from swords, buffs or Blood Frenzy there.

If you want my advice, try to find a specific amount of attack speed you want to get. As an example, let's say you want to have 210 aspd with maxed blood frenzy (28% attack speed), with swords that each give 5% attack speed and Attack speed ring (5%).

That would mean, you'd need to have an X amount of base attack speed. Seeing as how Attack speed bonus stacks additively, you can calculate how much base attack speed you'd need for that simply.

(1+any attack speed bonuses written as a decimal value[100 times less than the percentage]) * x = the amount of desired attack speed, with 'x' being the amount of base attack speed you need.

Let's take the 210 example from above.

That would mean: (1+0.28+0.05+0.05+0.05) *x = 210.
A quick calculation leads to x being around 147 attack speed, if we keep putting Agi on the stat simulator with it being set to Crusader class, we get 66 Agi. Now substract the amount of agi your future equips will give you (let's say Eva chest equips), and voila, you get the base amount of agi that you need for a certain attack speed.

The same can be done with buffs (or other attack speed bonuses) to calculate how much agi you'd need for any attack speed.
But once again, remember that this isn't an official tool, and it was always be bugged in any way.
