Simple question i'm wondering if award center will be added here so we can use credits or is it gonna be just item mall?

also will we have reputation exchange like old top1?
 
Those things are yet to be decided. There is a high chance of it being implemented but the rates are still to be decided in order for it not to inflate the economy that much
 
Isn't this things are abusable? Rates were just same like official so plvl from 8 to 45+ is not hard and credit/reputation farmer usually taking up other player leveling spot.

Well we can only speculate about exchange rate and what items would be in award center so nothing is really abusable
 
Reputation comes from the Mentor/Disciple System, which I think should serve the purpose of helping newbies (players who are new to the server).
However, we all know how this system ends up being used primarily.
So it seems like it's doomed to be "abused" since creating alt characters and leveling those by yourself without following the original purpose is what I would already call "abusing a system".
 
I think that it should be added within a few weeks/months IF it were to be added at all.
If nobody bothers to mall in order to sell the absolutely necessary items on the market (Pets primarily), then a very very difficult way of obtaining them in-game could be added.
I don't like Reputation myself , since the system was intended to help others out, not obtaining some rewards for yourself, but you can't count on the community not to abuse it.

It's still too early to say anything, so I think it's best to wait and see how things work out.
 
credits are something from original top, so is auto atacking and auto looting... they are no-brainers... of course they should be in the game... if you want something vanilla, then make it vanilla... don't add, remove or edit anything... or, by definition, it won't be vanilla...

the ONE AND ONLY thing that can prevent abuse is not allowign multiple clients at all... this will prevent lvling alts for reputation, will prevent spamming characters in fortune tree, spamming SS in smuglers... one SS in smuglers is not harmful, 4 or 5 of them all the time might be.
 
but then, using alt's is also part of top... so just leave all the features there... even unique rings...

Vanilla is nice and fun, however, not everything "vanilla" is good. And just because it's vanilla doesn't mean we necessarely need to also use this.
Vanilla for me means using the basis of the old Tales of pirates. Things like the gems, the equip, the amount of sockets even, mazes or maybe drops.
But if something of that prooves to be bad, then of course we should change it.
 
The server needs to preserve a vanilla feeling. Because of the fact that a lot has changed since the old days of ToP, removing some things will actually result in a feeling more similar to the old ToP than if they were kept.

But while it should preserve a certain feeling, it should also be fun, and as I said if something prooves to be bad, or no fun, change it.

Well, I made a relatively good example of that "preservation" of the feeling in one of my posts on the botting thread.
Basicly, there were very few bots back in ToP due to many reasons. But things have since changed, and if botting was allowed, the server would be crowded with bots. capping auto-skilling makes sure that there's very few bots, making it actually more like old ToP than if it were kept. Get what I mean? The same thing is applicable to other things of course.
 
Ofc botting shouldnt be allowed, but i mean botting as in using third party programs for afk lvling or farming rare stuff, but auto atacking is not harmful at all in my opinion... there wont be any cash at all in the server, no woodcutting, so i think smuglers are a pretty good thing for the whole server, it would make the economy more alive with more cash going around, also more nss means more uns 35, more UGs (certainly not enough to break the economy or prevent malling) and more cash circulating...

What i always felt was harmful was buffers, seavoys, sealers... all made of alts... if multiple accounts werent allowed, then people would main sea voys, call buffers for the party, and use real ss players instead of full cons alts for some bosses... its called team work, but ofc hexa would become imposible without hexa parties and some other aspects would be pretty hard and, sometimes, unfamiliar

Auto attacking isn't harmful and it's actually good for the server? Just how high are you?

Even if its not harmful (lets assume that), it doesn't justify that people with good PC can go afk and auto skill and benefit while those who actually play gain money way "slower" AND have to input time and effort.
We want active players not people who stand afk 22 hours a day and come back once a day to check the money they made.
