As the title says, im in very need to level up, to around level 35-41, id be super super grateful if some1 would like to help me ;o

I'm currently level 17, sworddsman :P

Just reply to me in this thread, if you're willing to help out a little fella to get into the game, just like in the old days ^-^

Bump!! i really need help ;S

what is the point in being a mentor for some1? because as far as i know there is no reputation exchanger?
Is this why it is so hard to find a mentor? because i can't find one for myself either..

Yes, sadly this is the case.... Would be wonderful if we could get it working ASAP.. As alot of new people give up simply because they get no help whatsoever and they just quit before even starting.. @Zankza

Wow man thnx for the fast reply! Yes it would be great if gm added this would make the game more newbie friendly/fun..

nah reputation exchange is not an option.

If you are friendly you will help with or without reputation exchange.

Even when you are friendly, you help out 3-4 newbies and 1 week later all of them have quit. You spent 2-3 hours helping each of them ,gave them some money and spare items and now they only take up disciple slots, what's the point? Help every newbie who asks for mentor knowing they likely won't last 2 days? Time only goes foward, wasted time will never be recovered.

Thing is that most higher level players didn't really receive help. They'd either make small groups/teams, or they'd level up on their own. So they invested a lot of time and resources into getting where they're at, while the circumstances were much more harsh. (I played since day 1 and there was no-one to mentor us, not to mention HBs and Nanas are much more available as of now.)

People generally have a mindset of "If I did it from scratch, what's stopping him?" At least that's the way I see it. I wouldn't mind helping someone out, but knowing that I've done all of that on my own without malling, or even no-lifing, means that he can as well, all it takes is a bit of good will.

Although the thing which personally most turns me down to help others is how they ask. I always try and help out people who ask politely and have at least a bit of humility, but when someone starts spamming local, your PM and become a giant pain in the ass, as if you must help them; or worse yet, you help them and then they start nagging you for every little thing, those kinds of things generally piss people off.

I know I might get a lot of hate for this, but it's how things are. Showing no good will to do things on your own as well as having no respect when you're figuratively "on your knees", begging for help turns most players away from providing someone with help.
