With the recent glow changes, the glow milestones have been set to:
+4 = +5
+7 = +9
+10 = +13

Although this is fair, the one concern which shows up is why only +10 weapons are able to achieve the maximum glow. I strongly believe +9 glow should glow as +13 as well. There are two main points I will raise for this:

  1. Difficulty to obtain said glow. Obtaining a +9 glow is fairly difficult (unless gems such as Fiery or Shadow are used, at which point the weapon becomes only aesthetical - therefore no harm done with this change), and as such should be rewarded. Additionally, many end-game weapons cannot obtain the glow, meaning that the server won't be full of them with this change. Although it is true that the glow can be obtained even with non-end game forge (such as Lust-Explo for SS, Rage-Lust for cruz/champ; or by using cracked/broken gems), it is the less power-efficient route (as opposed to Rage-Eye, Explo-Eye and etc.), so there is no harm done in giving that route more aesthetical value.
  2. Consistency with the previous state of glows. +9 glow was the highest glow one could obtain before the glow update went live, and many weapons weren't able to obtain it (even if max gemmed). I don't see why the update makes such a valuable glow the same as a mere +7 or +8, the difference is massive. As with before, anyone who put in the effort (or power sacrifice) to obtain the maximally available glow (+9) should now be rewarded with the current maximally available glow (+13).
I do think the update hit the spot, and the +4/+7 milestones are perfectly fine. The concern is with the +10 one being restrictive and a lot less counter-intuitive compared to the previous state of glows.

I do agree that in some cases Weapons should glow better.

by far the best idea .-

+10 giving +13 glow is perfectly fine. I've seen players walking around with +13 glow so it is attainable. Even a cruz with max gems on his/her sword won't be able to obtain the +13 glow since it would be +8 which gives the +9 glow already. So I don't understand how +9 is better to give the +13 glow? Because even then, cruzes/ss won't be able to obtain it if they forge eye. So by far only clerics and voyagers can obtain the +10 glow if and only if their weapons are maxed which is fair imo. Max your UGs or crackeds on your staff/dagger and get the +13 glow :)

You can that because you maller and is easy for you have a +10 staff. In the server we just had like 3 staff +9 and you are the only one +10. I dont see the problem if deve change the glow of staff +9 to glow like +13 :) there is a lot of staff +8 why the low +9 cant glow like +13?
Just because you want just your staff glow +13? xD

No? Im not the only one with +10 and me being a “maller” doesnt restrict anyone else from getting a +10 staff as well. Gem of souls are cheap lately. Its not hard to make lv5 ug soul. Also it makes more sense that if you’re maxed you get +13 glow, otherwise it would be very easy for everyone to get the glow and it wouldnt be “special” anymore. Or how about make +8 give the +13 glow since cruz/ss with eye cant get past +8 and let everyone get the glow :)

As i said is super low ppl that had staff +9. So i dont see the problem if he change the glow. Is not hard get lv5 ug gem but that is not a reason to ppl that dont only focus on staff/dagger dont deserve them staff glow better if there is super low ppl that had +9 staff/dagger.

I smell bias. You didn't even bother giving counter-arguments to the two points I raised nor invalidated them. Try again.

If you dont wanna focus on your staff/dagger to max it doesnt mean you deserve the +13 glow either. It makes more sense if you do, just because you cant or dont want to invest into getting +10 doesnt mean that +9 HAS to give +13 glow. My staff wasnt +10 before the update, I made it +10 after the update to get the glow. You want the +13 glow so badly? Make your weapon +10.

I can do it. But im not selfish i think about other that dont want to focus and want a special glow I TOLD YOU there is super low ppl that had +9 staff what is your problem if they want staff glow +13? xD You can spend 300m in a staff but others no because they need focus in armor and other stuff but they dont deserve to have a nice glow? Honestly you know is impossible to a non maller person to have a +10 staff/dagger swords etc. +9 is the most accesible one. But anyways just my opinion.

You’re not being selfish or you just want the glow and don’t wanna invest in getting +10? Please don’t use that “selfish” argument against me because if that’s the case then +8 weapons should give the +13 glow as i said before since other classes can’t get past that Would be more fair that way

in that case i want to see you saying betters arguments than "Make your weapon +10". Because leba said really good arguments ;3

@Shay shay You didn't respond to my reply yet. Any reason why you're avoiding it? Nothing you're saying is valid until you beat the two points I'd made. That bias smell truly is getting stronger by the reply...

I haven't paid attention to your reply, my bad. I'm not being biased :) I'm just stating my opinion, amaihoshi is taking it personal. I just think it should remain +10 because it's the max you can acquire and anyone who puts the effort in maxing their weapons deserve to get the +13 glow :) In that case, the +10 staffs/daggers and +8 swords/guns. In the end it's devs decision so whatever

+9 is already a huge amount of work for magics, or a power sacrifice for other classes (Champs/SS/Cruz who go Lust instead of Eye), +10 is just icing to the cake in terms of power, I don't see why it should be the only + worth of getting the maximal glow.

ESPECIALLY when before the update the maximal glow was obtainable by getting +9. There is no reason to move that milestone up by +1, even if it's a different glow, the principle remains the same.

OK. From all the Arguments I have read. The only possible thing to change, are weapons that have Black Dragon gems within. They indeed are limited to +8 and owners of such items deserve to receive some special kind of glow.
Other then that. Current +10 glow effect will stay the same.

What about magic classes weapons which are unable to use black dragon gems? The effort needed to obtain the maximal glow should remain the same as prior to the update, the bar should not be unnecessarily raised. Especially not for magic classes as they do not have a less effective power route (as other classes do with lust gems).

Example, please.
I seen Magic's using +10 staff.

My point is that before the update, the maximally available glow was +9. This was, even for magic classes, a very fair and stable milestone to be the maximal glow, as Lv5 Spr - Lv4 Soul was a very huge power/cash milestone as well. I truly see no reason to change that to Lv5 Spr - Lv5 Soul, as it makes the bar go up by one gem, aka one Lv5 UG. Moreover, the fair milestone which is +9 now has the same glow as +7 and +8 which are quite lower in terms of power/cash milestones than lv4. It is the first huge spike.

Less effective power route? Spirit gem? Cruzes still need to get lv5 rage (which is more expensive than gem of soul) if they want the +8 glow or possibly in the future +13 glow.
