I think the hardest thing about making in-game features that would help the general quota of the population (every player in game) and keep players is hard to do simply because of
the history of the game and the amount of abuse top tier players and even people who pick up the game later when they learn more about it.
Honestly though it is probably a thing we need to keep new players and current players in the game because it keeps them wanting to play that just being online and the time they invest in every day and the content that they are playing worth it, however we would have to find a way that it could not be abused.
I bring this up because everyone knows how you can abuse the mentor and disciple built feature,everyone knows how to abuse the clubs, everyone knows that implementing the fairy coin chest and the rewards it had can bring HUGE profit to players.
Those were powerful tools to help players have rewards for helping other players or newer players, and also rewards for being online. But the fact that you could make
300+ alts and
keep all the rewards and make a huge margin of profit was insane.
One thing that sucked was that everything was
alts...there really wasn't much to do but abuse that system climb the ladder and reap rewards. I'm one to say me and my friend in real life would spend every week making a massive amount of accounts move them to a spot and wake up 3am on 3x just to sandbag the whole day worst of all...we weren't the only ones that did it...
EVERYONE did it.
-Bringing this up is the reason that if by chance say the mods decided to make a system where you log in every day and sign up in the calendar and the more consistent you sign in the better rewards you get, whose to say that people aren't gonna make 30+ alts and reap the rewards for themselves?
-Or even an idea where you had a PK arena system where you had people who made a certain amount of honor going by a "first place" "second place" "third place" a week gets a reward and the tables reset every week so it has people
wanting to play at the Bar to see who's the best at a 1v1 or 2v2 etc. But whose to say that people aren't gonna move a bunch of alts and farm it?
Point being opened that, there are a bunch of things that could be added to this game that could make it fun (not that it isn't) it's just that a lot of things that were meant to bring more players in and keep them ended up being abused to the point where it just didn't make it fun to play but a process to reach the top that was rather boring and stale and a robotic sequence.
The game isn't boring, even with other MMORPG's coming along and revolutionizing certain feature's. The PK system in this game is by far elite imo its fast paced especially in a group pk situation, its very simple each class has a simple skill set and its very charming and fun to play. Sometimes less is more honestly. I think its just the content throughout isn't as fulfilling and the way to get to end game is a HUGE challenge, because you either stick it out or quit. if you are not staying at 45 or 55 especially in a hardcore server like this it will be difficult unless things are added.
I say the community and the owner has to find a way to make it more appealing with things that cannot be abused but to be beneficial. Also making content where it keeps players wanting to play it instead of having to grind their way to end game which in itself is unsatisfying as of the current because of how huge it is a grind and there really isn't anything in between. It sounds like a lot and it can be, but honestly to this day this game has so much potential because of its simplicity.
