Wild Idea? Gem Choices?

But the question will remain, will these gems be gems that we can ONLY obtain by playing, or will it be an addition to the mall, as "the only" mall gems?
I dont think they'll be mall gems.
Also if you add broken and cracked and if we can only forge one type , we'll forge cracked, which will make broken garbage like the other gems which go for 20k
 
How about adding those 2gen gems?
Feng , Shark , Bings dodge ( etc ) , Jades ( So hats have a purpose ) .
Those are fun af and they wouldnt unbalance things :D
 
I agree with this idea. Since you won't be able to forge the same gems (in stats, not quality) into the equipment, it won't make the pros more pros, and will give a chance to others to catch up
Totally agree with this, cause the newbies and mid game people, that dont has 25m to a ug, can gem with more than normal gems, that's a great idea, but i would prefer a one more detail, idk if its already like this, but limit this gems to only lv 3 seems ok to me and also not chipeds.

In general, as everyone saw, decreasing refining gem's supply wasn't favorable idea, as it was already too low. So I had to try to think of different approach, and something very wild had striked me, it made perfect sense to me so let me tell you about it.

PKO has strong economy, you have very huge gap between the gems and refining and unique gems, and because of that it's actually making most of people's experience unpleasantly. What we need is more better choices for players, a strong notion was to boost the regular gems, which is one of leading idea, but here's another approach: we saw some of additions of new gems had created new kinds of economy and possibilities of builds. By introducing Broken, Cracked, Chipped gems, which are essentially a unique gems with +2, +3, and +4 stat points bonuses, similar to unique gems which give +5. The exception is that those all gems are essentially same gem-type, meaning you can only forge one of quality into your equipment.

They would be also scattered in the world of PKO, allowing healthy and constructive means for players to obtain the gems, broken becoming the most cheapest and placed in lower level dungeon and low-reward lottery, and so on. With cracked and eventually chipped gems being placed accordingly, all share similar chance rates but ultimately what content's intend level that determines quality of gem. This way, you have whole segment of PKO, from the beginning to ending, you are always getting some gem, and you can choose which quality to forge. Or sell it.

I think that this is very fair approach, it most certainly promotes and encourages new comers to gem without costing them millions, and most importantly it gives refining gem the attention it's always had deserved from day one at PKO.

if this is happening you should put Story quest rewards as it was before 1 REF LV1 and 2 lv2 ref and no level requirement, to keep ref gem supply balance.

Well spirit classes need this. We dont have two staves or two daggers so we can forge two ugs like crusaders can :)))))

Yea but this will increaste peoples max attack least by 400 max attack and that will be a problem for those people without any BD Soul in Armor, and Magic classes are strong enough ...

I guess youre Magic class.

Exactly. I think it's a good idea in general to add these gems. But if you can only gem one, no one will go for broken, and broken gems will be sold to the NPC for 2,5k each. Maybe make it possible to gem broken and cracked together, but not UG?

Sure, it will, but only for those gemless people.

It will bring those weak people more average closer to the strong people, but never stronger, or making stronger people any more stronger.

Thanks for sparing your opinion but seeing how it is very nonconstructive in terms how exactly it is "destroy pk", not only you now have more people in pk maps due to more easier for a new comer to join and gem their equips, they will be resemblance closely to best players.

Placing Lv3 cap is honestly impractical. the amount of gems and refining you would need to go past above Lv4 makes the precious two sockets you have in your equipment too valuable.

It also acts as agent to balance the outrageous UG prices we have, you shouldn't have to pay so much to get relatively better, if people feel the cap is necessary, but I don't think so, because logic tells us that anybody who forges above lv 4 is probably not after best player title, but rather economic-cost for enjoying this game.

In other words, I don't see why we have to cost so much gold for a player to be important role in any of mazes or dungeons.

No no. this is not about mall, or adding gems into mall. Please don't ask, it's not going happen.
