Wild Idea? Gem Choices?

In general, as everyone saw, decreasing refining gem's supply wasn't favorable idea, as it was already too low. So I had to try to think of different approach, and something very wild had striked me, it made perfect sense to me so let me tell you about it.

PKO has strong economy, you have very huge gap between the gems and refining and unique gems, and because of that it's actually making most of people's experience unpleasantly. What we need is more better choices for players, a strong notion was to boost the regular gems, which is one of leading idea, but here's another approach: we saw some of additions of new gems had created new kinds of economy and possibilities of builds. By introducing Broken, Cracked, Chipped gems, which are essentially a unique gems with +2, +3, and +4 stat points bonuses, similar to unique gems which give +5. The exception is that those all gems are essentially same gem-type, meaning you can only forge one of quality into your equipment.

They would be also scattered in the world of PKO, allowing healthy and constructive means for players to obtain the gems, broken becoming the most cheapest and placed in lower level dungeon and low-reward lottery, and so on. With cracked and eventually chipped gems being placed accordingly, all share similar chance rates but ultimately what content's intend level that determines quality of gem. This way, you have whole segment of PKO, from the beginning to ending, you are always getting some gem, and you can choose which quality to forge. Or sell it.

I think that this is very fair approach, it most certainly promotes and encourages new comers to gem without costing them millions, and most importantly it gives refining gem the attention it's always had deserved from day one at PKO.

Not quite, since the gems are same type, they are just lesser quality, I prefer to use the word "quality" instead of completely different gem. because you cannot forge two of them.

In traditional sense, if I added broken, cracked, chipped gems, you could forge all of them into your Blade of Enigma (Lv1 Broken Gem of Rage, Lv1 Cracked Gem of Rage, Lv1 Chipped Gem of Rage).

This new idea doesn't permit it, because, broken, cracked, chipped, and unique gems, are all the same kind. you can only choose one and forge it, if you want to forge other kind, you'll need to plier the existing quality.

If you forge one of those 4 Gems, you can't forge the other in the same equipment.
i.e. You forged Broken Rage in your sword, you can't forge Cracked, Chipped or UG.
 
Okay. Lemme see if I get this. If we forge gem of rage we can't forge any other rage?
Have you thought about limiting it to mazes? Does that idea comes in option?

assuming broken, cracked, and chipped still maxed at lv3?
I think it's unnecessary to impose that limits, Lv 6 broken gem is only gonna give you 12 str points, where lv 3 rage would give you 15 str points. It's already economically unwise to go past lv3, so why place a hard limit anyways?

Have you thought about limiting it to mazes? Does that idea comes in option?
It would be scattered. It would be not singly-sourced, it will come from means including mazes, chests like beautiful chest, lottery (tiger gamble), and more.
 
I aprove it, is good to news players cant get a Ug and the pk will be balanced...
 
I support this idea, it will make PK's more budget friendly for people who tend not to spend millions of gold on Unique gems

I agree with this idea. Since you won't be able to forge the same gems (in stats, not quality) into the equipment, it won't make the pros more pros, and will give a chance to others to catch up
 
I don't like the idea of adding chipped gems also. I't just renders low lvl UG useless also takes away the luxury of actually having high lvl UG.
 
Adding chipped gems will greatly decrease the price of +5 gems. Maybe only broken and cracked should be added so +5 gems will still have a greater impact due since these will be still expensive yet higher stat gain.
 
But the question will remain, will these gems be gems that we can ONLY obtain by playing, or will it be an addition to the mall, as "the only" mall gems?
