Yes tales of pirates survived but do you think they would in 2016? No. This server will never have the playerbase and hype which pko/top used to have that is why you have to work different.
If a game die by a reason then you dont re-create the game with the same features.
I couldn't really bother but I know after first day there will be more UGs in game than ref gems. And if I had all the required ref gems id get all ugs lv 5 within a day and then lets see if you are still having fun when a solo player kills your whole squad solo without ever doing anything than lvling while your squad did ds/dw/ca every day.
I guess you just post without even trying to understand or get any knowledge about this server, right?
Max gem lv is 3. You can't even combine anything higher than that, not talking about forging. Also, I already said, that they must be somehow limited, thus I don't know, how to be honest. 1 Gem per day per IP can be easily wrecked by IP changer programs and so on. Need to somehow find a good way how to implement this... Also, what would you gem as ''pure maller without playing''? Eva chest eq? Doesn't feel like waste at all, right? I really wouldn't care if there would be mallers who mall lv3 UG's.. I mean, they still have to lvl up, which is hard in 1x rates server and so on.
It would be stupid to see people with lv3 UG's on first day they appear available tho, that's why UG's from mall should be :
1. Obtained via vouchers/lottery system, so you can't get exactly the gem you want, it's all random, so cruzes don't just mall rages and so on. That way gems will appear in server and non-mallers will have a good chance to buy them, while right now winning party just pwns every maze and stacks gems in bank gemming only 4-5 people on server.
2. Gems bought should be limited somehow. UG droprate is really low, I don't think more than 1 UG per day appears on server ''in natural way'', most likely even less. (Maybe exception is super lucky NSS days, but well, that's just a lottery, so it's fine). That's why I think there should be strict limit to gems which appear from mall. Maybe could make mall have only 5 UG vouchers per day, and they are on lottery everyday. Lets say you buy lottery ticket for like 15-30rum and then u participate in lottery, at end of day, 5UG vouchers are won within people who participated ( kinda can't be abusable, because if some mallers want to buy multiple lottery tickets from multiple accounts, they still pay those rum again, which can end up in alot of money, while still not securing them getting the win).
I know this might be a little bit too much lottery and luck based, but that's my best idea for now I guess.
The truth is, they must be implemented somehow, othervise gap between few people and all the rest will grow too huge to repair it later.
That's how servers die. When new people don't even bother to join because they have 0 chance to catch up ever.
