Is it smarter to store up to 50k exp first before you start leveling your ship or is the exp gain irrelevant to the ship's level?

Try to treat EXP as "truncation" meaning the EXP required to level is always same, but you'll truncate that EXP into level at your discretion instead of automatically.

I guess it's possible that it's "quicker" or "smarter" to keep ship low level (nine levels below the mob you are killing) but I don't think it serves too much difference.

its easier to gain exp on low lvl mobs, as they are 1-2 hit ea= faster killing= faster exp

Well thanks but i'm really trying to use my time optimally . Got 6k exp already just from farming 60+ mobs for cooking

if u think thats faster then oke go for it ( callculate how much it will take you to gain exp fro lvl 100ship)
i can tell u that it takes around week at low lvl mobs

dont forget we get exp for just being at sea, that time exp stops at 1k >>>>>>by this logic /////its better to lvl your boat as soon as you can,or you will lose that free time exp

u are very wrong.U shouldnt level your boat above lvl 40.Lvl it to 40, and then just store exp till u have enough exp for desired lvl.Best way for lvling is killing land mobs with ship.u can do it afk.Every 10 mins or so u just need to put autoattack again

best way to lvl ship is land mobs ,your right,but only if your the one in that spot,,,so tell me how great a way that is,when 200 people need to use it, but only one can?,not to mention the fact you need a tanker to do it,,,,,if you don't mind losing the exp you get for free then do it your way,but good luck sitting in that spot without someone else looking to do the same thing,,,

Dont know what u talking about,i finished 3 ships so far.Some to lvl 100,some to lvl 80.There is some ksing,but it still about 100 times easier then doing it on sea. And again im not speaking from my ass.Im speaking as someone who actually lvled couple of ships already and i know what im talking about.

of course its easier dude,,,,thats why the spot is always taking.....I never said you wasn't right,and don't go acting all godly lol,any half wit can get those high lvl ships using that lame ass kill mobs on land trick, that is if they want to play the game like a bot.

YOu need about 3 hours to make lvl 40 char.In glacier lvl 60 any class that has some con or dodge can tank.And if he went with your option he would be screwed.He would need year to lvl his ship.Pff playing the game is intended, what a lame excuse . lets not judge at all ok?i didn't mention land mobs because I really don't believe the makers of this game wanted people to lvl boats like that,so for me it feels like a cheat,you on the other hand don't have a issue with it and love the fact you can lvl fast,,i admit I'm not the norm ,many would go the fast route and do,,,,cheers
