Refining Gem Supply

remove ref gems from ALL mazes to decrease supply, increase drop rate of other gems to increase demand of refs, decrease success rate of upgrading to balance.. thanks

  1. Ref gems have already gone up by 50-100k since the SQ patch
  2. Increasing drop rate of other gems won't increase demand for ref gems. Those gems are useless and are already overabundant in stalls priced as low as 5-10k
  3. Success rate of upgrading isn't going to help much. Gem level is capped at 5. Increasing gem level cap would just be more power creep for older players with UGs
Average price for Ref gems have gone up already, but if it hasn't gone up enough. Best solution is still to buff the "useless gems" to create higher demand for Ref gems.

Here are some screenshots with people still doing it on many clerics and selling them cheap. with 3 pages stall of refinings lvl 2 .

My point is :

1) Make Level requirement to 50 (instead of lvl 45)
2)Give only 1x level 2 ref gem from story quest (Already SQ gives 300k, 5oss, Lv60 Pr Necklace costs 400k --which is more than enough)

The level requirement to 45 did not helped much. As people already make lvl 40 char (before too) and You automatically levels to lvl 42 till reaching mermaid queen quest . They just need to do 3 more levels to get 2x lvl 2 ref and all the above rewards

Average prices have gone up, maybe not by much. Best solution is to buff useless gems IMO.
 
ok,if we want to increase the price of ref,we are all saying kill the drop rate some,,ok so now we have less refs on market, at a higher price,now its even more difficult for a player to forge, harder to find refs, cost more to buy,,i only see one fix here and that's many more gems to forge, will the regular gems be enough to meet the demand? lvl 45s fc toons need those chipped ,crked,brk gems////,having to many gems isn't possible in my mind, so if anything, id raise the drop rate and bring the crkd,broke,chip back,,,yes its a big change and I know ,its a bit past the vanilla server idea, but everyone will forge...

The change of the ctrl 1-7 emoticons totally ruined the vanilla feel for me :(
 
It's not because over supply, it's because nobody buying.
Reduce the supply can help a little, but if there are still no high demand, It's won't help much in the long run.
What the point of having a harder way to get ref, an expensive price, but people still not buying fast enough?

In the old server peoples always need the ref, everyday people farm maze, fairy coin chest, abuse story quest, even mall the ref.
Ref over supply? No. Always selling like hot cakes.
Old server don't have crack, chip, they don't buff their normal gem.

Yet the ref there always short in supply. Why? It's because the demand.
They have tons of UG's. (mostly came from mall)
Since we don't sell UG's in our mall here, we need something to fill that hole.

I'm suggesting we make a new alternative way to get UG's to compensate that.
Maybe a series of quest, an easy quest, but very annoying and time consuming.
I have an idea for the quest, but my post already too long.
 
Am still dont get it, probally because i dont do It SQ but if the char is lvl for example 35 dont get it any ref gem lvl 2 vouchers? Just las and other ítems?

yes, if youre below 45 you wont get refs.
 
Already take off lv 1 ref gem from SQ! Take off ref gem lv 2 or limit to lv 50 or anything a lot of players will stop to play PKO!
TOP original always have this Sqers, and game have 10 years with a lot people!

ref supply aint problem,ref demand is.in old top ref was extremely expensive,not because it was harder to obtain it (it was actually easier to get ref), but because it was in more of demand.we need to make people wanna forge gems.way to do that is either buffing shitty gems or introducing chipped and cracked, or even both.U do either of these things and u will see sharo increase in prices of ref gems

I agree with buffing those hp and def gems, and ofc dodge and fiery gems, adding a npc that can exchange these "useless" gems to a npc for a ug or something isn't a bad idea either

We need cracked and chipped gems...
Glow, shining gems, fiery are unseless gems!
