[PROPOSAL] Stall items search tool

Hello,

I’ve seen an idea implemented in other games and I think it could be useful here.

Since you can use offline stalls it gets pretty annoying going through the cities looking for an item and finding that almost 40% of the stalls are people leveling pets or spamming messages.

I used to play Ragnarok Online and I really enjoyed private servers. They used offline stalls too but they had a web page where you could search for an item (lets say with the description) and it would list all the stalls (with coordinates), the item and the prices, with this one could check the one that fit your budget and go to the coordinates to buy.

I think it would be useful to add it to the Main Page or the forum I don’t know.

It’s just an idea but im not sure if it could be implemented in this game.

Well i was thinking maybe adding it to the web page where the Item database is, not exactly in the game.

As much as i like this idea, wouldnt it sorta take away the whole stall excitement idea? ;S

that was my first tought but then i began to see that the stalls remain the same over long periods of time because thats what offline stalls do.... also alot of people use it for pet leveling so i think it already lost all the excitement for me. but i see your point.

Against this, its a nice feature at all....

Could you tell us why are you against the idea? maybe theres something i havent tought.

The stalls are so cool , running around the city looking for items is exciting , when u put your items and log in the next day and see what you sold , but i have to say that now with the offline stall tool , such big amount of stalls makes the commerce system extremely inefficient , you lost a lot of time looking for the item you need, so i agree with this , it will very useful.

I think stalls are part of the game's charm and spending some time going around the city, looking at item prices and for items you need can be advantageous as well, because being aware of the economy's state is always a plus if you're involved in it.

This idea would simply lazy things up a lot, and I personally am a big fan of convenience, but not in this form.
I do agree with people leveling fairies being a bit of a problem and that areas are overcrowded with stalls, but I don't think this is the right way to tackle that issue.

well, the idea was not about removing stalls... just an easiest way to find the item youre looking for.

But not everyone would use it, even when im not looking for something i take a look around the city checking stalls (this is the magic most of you are talking about), the tool would be perfect when youre looking for something specific, when this happens to me, i dont even check stalls, i go to world chat.,

i just think it could be a fastest way to find something than using world chat or checking the all the stalls in the city.

in the end, people do what they think is the best way to find an item, so if you dont want to lose the "excitement" that checking stalls brings, you still would be able to do it.

I’m NOT saying we should remove stalls and i know i can hide them using CTRL + S, please don’t distort the things im saying, what I’m proposing is just a Search Tool, I’m NOT proposing a new Trade system, just a Search Tool, just like the item Database or the monster Database, just a Search Tool.
