This may or may not be a personal computer/internet issue.
Background: Crusader Level 44
Scenario: When meleeing (or auto-attacking) a mob, the character becomes "stuck" (does not happen every time). The character continues to melee the mob but any new inputs (trying to use skills or move the character) does not register, so essentially the character is locked in a melee battle with the mob. In my case, the "stuck" situation lasted until my character died (perhaps if the mob died first, my character would also become "unstuck"). This scenario has occurred twice so far, one with a "Needle of Stramonium" and the other with a "Elite Tribal Warrior". In both occurrences, the meleeing was preceded by the usage of "Shadow Slash" on the mobs.
Conjecture: This situation does not appear to be a lag issue because I could still see the damage dealt and received in real-time. Furthermore my alternate client was able to move and use skills freely (including healing the "stuck" character) while the situation was unfolding.
I apologise if this is an obscure and isolated incident that is not a gameplay issue but I wanted to share a possible issue (and vent my frustrations over my lost experience).

Game loosed player Input or Window Focus because of some notification or other 3rd party application.
