will there be exp penalty when in a team, same as top1 or it's going to be 1x solo 1x with a team as it is stated on the website ?
 
x1 is done after the penalty when in a team I believe which is the same as the official's rates
 
When you are in party, The exp received are replicated to all members and normalized, But when party exp is higher than exp rate, Strange math occurs and script never bothers to check it out.

Anyways, it's going behave just like officials to answer your question.

Just to understand this a bit more, what u mean is a party of x5 Lv70 characters will have like x0.2 Rate?
 
well since after lv 70 we get 0.5x and full team cuts down the exp by half or something close, it will be somewhere around 0.2x-0.25x

That's not what I said. No it will be not 0.2, it will be exactly same conditions as official, the monsters just give twice less EXP they usually give, before they are normalized by usual changes as seen on official.

Thats what i meant exactly, if after lv70 exp reduces into 0.50x means in a full pt of lv70 chars exp would be like 0.20 more or less, if am not wrong.
 
You are right. If a mob normally gives 1000 exp, after lv 70 it will give 500 exp, after full team penalty it will be 200-250 exp

If what you're saying is that as soon as I start a party, instead of 1000 EXP both participants will earn 500, then that is the not a feature we really need even if we are going vanilla.
One of the most annoying things in this game is leveling alone, and at some point with this party exp cut crusaders will prefer going solo and leaving casters behind or making them pay for power lvl which seems...really bad.
This also affects champions who are full con and unable to kill by themselves.
 
well it's supposed to be a soft cap, so that when people hit lvl 70, they won't continue lvling and get too much ahead of everyone else.

It's exactly the way it was in vanilla. This is how it was in offi and it makes perfect sense, a full team should have exp penalty. If you have let's say 3 killers in a team of 5, that's 3 people killing instead of one, mobs die 3 times faster, hence you get 3 times more exp than a solo person, it's still better than lvling alone even after exp penalty comes into place. This is how it is supposed to be, people messed this up in private servers.
 
I can't agree that it's how it's supposed to be.
I have spent many hours at official and spent many hours leveling alone because it was more efficient.
I really hated it and since Zankza is promoting to play with friends because it is more fun this way, I think exp should be the same to actually make it more fun this way. Otherwise people will be left behind at some point.
 
This is vanilla, changing the party exp rate, would change the whole gameplay. That's not what we are looking for in this server.

Of course, vanilla means hard server, but people lv70 will have x2 penalty when leveling, wich is really, really ridiculous. it will take months to get into lv70 anyway.

Vanilla is cool but you know, vanilla is not perfect, divided party exp is a very good example in my eyes.
The basis should be vanilla, definitely, hard leveling, basic equipments, 2 sockets, all that stuff
But things that sucked don't need to be preserved.
Of course that is subjective to each person, but I believe many will agree.
 
Level penalty never exist on any server of top.
Well it did, because if you entered a party in official game, you gained less EXP.
It got divided to both participants, so it kinda is a penalty, for the killer anyway.
