Hey, Career Lots also give temporary stats, but I think it's only when you're using Mystic Clovers, which are not in the game, so those aren't worth it.
As for Fortune Lots, you need to try and make the most out of them. They have a pretty high chance of taking your money away, so ALWAYS open them with 0 gold in your inventory.
Additionally, they give some gold occasionally, be it a small amount of gold (between 1-10k I think) or you getting "smashed" by someone throwing coins (Your hp goes down to 10% and you gain between 15-25k gold). It's useful to trade this gold to a nearby alt character so that opening more Lots doesn't make you lose it. Yes, it's a bit tedious to keep trading small amounts of gold, but it becomes worth it.
Lastly, Fortune Lots can also give 2x drop rate, from a few minutes to an hour. Making use of this double drop rate to farm whatever you can possibly think of is also a great way to give the Lots you've opened more value.
i.e. I used to spam Lots for drop rate (Of course, trading gold and keeping OSS while waiting for it to show up) when leveling myself, leveling alts, or farming a low-rate item for Crafting.
