Apparel upgrade

Assuming i got 2x same swords with same bonus.
Lets say +10 stat str on each sword (for thread purposes).

I understand that making one of them 110% will give me 1 extra str.
Now, if i make one 106% and one 104% do i get the bonus 1 str too since its 0.6 str bonus on one sword + 0.4 str bonus on other or do i have to make 1 of them 110% in order to recieve that 1 str bonus?
How does the game algorythm work on this matter?

At some point the game will round out the numbers, in what direction or what are the limits (how many exponential limit) I don't know on top of my head.

if the sword already 110% and i want to fuse to another apparel, do i need to have catalyst or catalyst only use if have gem?

As far as I know/have experienced, it rounds stats from one equipment only, but the same stat gets rounded while summed with the gem bonus of that stat.
So if you 106%'d one of those swords and 104%'d the other, there would be no bonus, since we're talking about two equipment.

However, let's say you have one sword with +5 str. 110%-ing it wouldn't grant any bonus, but if you have a rage in it (for which 110%-ing wouldn't grant any bonus either), you'd receive +1 str, since the base stat provides +0.5 and so does the rage (from 110%).
