  • I need to know whats the possible best boat for a SV/normal crus, the shai one or thundoria one
  • and i also need to know if i should sit on land, and use boat to attack land mobs, or kill sea mobs if there is any could anyone give cordinates?
  • and or if i should gather lots of exp on boat and then lv it up, or lvl it little by little

Could anyone gimme a good answer on that? :S

I'm quite certain that the Eagle from Icicle is the best boat in the game, although sailing it down from icicle can take a while.

For lvl 45 ship;
Icicle's Eagle is defense type with higher HP, Def & sailing speed..
Thundoria Habour's Great White Shark is attack type with much higher attack..

It's just a matter of preference & playstyle but for non-voy, Eagle should be more suitable
How you going to level your ship is your own choice.. your options there also work fine

Yeah pls any guide on how to lvl up boats fast?

The best strategy is to hit land mobs which are lured by a character who can tank them. Auto attacking with boat is done by holding Ctrl + Shift and clicking on the area where the ship will do AoE damage.

This is a good strategy because:
  1. it can be done while semi-afk.
  2. The monsters give loot, which will also yield small, but still existent money.
Notice how I used the word "semi"-afk... There's two things that have to be paid attention to:
-Auto-attack reset. As with all auto-skills, ship's auto attacks stop after 10-15 mins. This requires at least some attention or merely glancing while alt + tabbing to re-use it.
-Fuel. Naturally, the ship will lose fuel and, as everyone probably knows, should the fuel drop to zero, the ship will die shortly after. This is solved by either refueling the ship at a nearby dock, but if that's not possible, use Food Generations. These items are so good, because they give 650 Fuel back per piece. Meaning that you need 3-4 to fully refuel an Eagle/GWS.

As for the spots, there's two which are considered the "best". The first one are Lizard Kings, northeast of Barren Cavern. They are low level and die fairly fast. They can also drop NSS which the tank can loot.
The perks of this spot is that the mobs are weak and it's not a requirement to have a champion or a high-con/high level character tanking them. The cons would be that Food Generations are a must because there is no harbor operator in miles from the spot. Another bad aspect is that, if the ship is leveled up steadily, rather than at once, the monsters will eventually stop giving experience, so it only works for a set amount of levels.

I recommend an Eagle for this spot because the mobs have low health/defense anyway.

The second spot is Glacier isle, right above the Teleporter and slightly to the left.
This is a good spot because the ship can be refueled and salvaged from very closeby (in case it dies if no attention is paid to it), but the bad side is that the mobs are tankier and thus take longer to die. They also deal substantially more damage, so a more-less decent tank is required.

Although there are quite a few, and they occasionally drop Sealed BPs and Equipment which can be NPC'd for a fair amount.
I recommend a GWS (Great white Shark) for this, because it kills the monsters at a much quicker pace than an eagle. This spot can be used for much longer than the Lizard one, so even a higher level Eagle can hold its own against the monsters' beefiness.

@Leba I would add this:
- If your ship lvl is higher than mob lvl over 10 levels (mob lvl 30, ship lvl 41 - your ship start to get less exp). So if you level your ship killing Lizard Kings it's better to leave your ship at lvl 40 and collect exp (need around 310k for lvl 41-100) and then start leveling your ship with collected exp points. On Glacier mobs it's the same - leave your ship at lvl 61 and collect exp (mobs there are lvl 51/52 if I remember it correctly).
- Mob spawns change after game restarts so sometimes leveling ship on Lizard Kings spot is ineffective (if there is like 3 or less mobs then it is still better to go to Glacier Isle with your eagle ship).

Thanks for the reminder, I wanted to add that as well, but I wasn't 100% sure when you start to receive less exp.

Let's discuss on this..
My ship now is lvl 74;
- I killed a lvl 53 sea mob:- a few hundred player exp & NONE ship exp
- I killed a lvl 54 sea mob:- a few hundred player exp & 7 ship exp

Anyone want to guess why? =D

Why o,o?

It's my own level.. I'm lvl 64 so from below 10 lvl onwards I got full 7 ship exp.
I got curious so I tested this since lvl 62 when my ship only around lvl 65+, within lvl 62 even if my ship lvl up a few times I still got full 7 ship exp for mob lvl 52 (10 lvl lower than my lvl)

I think the way ship obtain exp start to change after certain ship lvl..
new ship got exp without killing & by killing get "ship proficiency" (which is also ship exp) but will get from 4 to 7 depending on mob lvl..
for eg I tested just now; at lvl 64, I use a lvl 1 ship; beside auto exp, will get 5 ship exp by killing lvl 36 & 38 sea mob.

Need a very thorough experiments for this but I don't have the time XD

Ships confuse me. Maybe because I don't even know how to get one '^'

But i guess this doesnt apply if u attack land mobs? Only sea mobs? Or have u tested both?

if possible get wood skill and fishing skill ,use fish for fuel,logs to heal ship,fish can be caught right close of shant dock just a little south, having a full hull of fish will save mega time in the end,i would use the great white and my logic is go for the higher att ,u can always heal the boat,but with the eagle you will always be less att then the GW,>>if your going to cut wood to heal ships I recommend a guide ,and getting a decent woodchopping skill lvl, the better wood for fixing ships needs it, this also saves coins, you wont be paying npc to fix and refuel, as you will have those things yourself ,

as far as boat exp,dont forget after 1k exp you don't get the time exp for just being on the boat,not much but it adds up,,,,,i try to lvl mine shortly after 1kexp at low lvl,but when it gets higher lvl ill wait until at least 10k as the lvls demand more exp

I'd say it depends on how close you are to the dock. Maybe it's not worth sailing all the way from an Island to a port with a Builder. Additionally, I believe there's a level at which you stop receiving passive Ship EXP.

I have a friend on level 60 and boat is like 50 but he kills some monsters at level 59 cause if he levels his boat he won’t gain exp from them so he stays with boat lv 50 or so even tho he has enough profiency for level 80 boat. Somebody explain xD.

How does wood heal ur boat, and fish add fuel? do you mean manus? do you mean by creating food generators?

Besides food generation, you can also refuel with "Fish Meat", obtained from Fish Swarms - the same fishing yards which drop Sashimi. They go to your Cargo and using them will restore 50 Fuel.
Exchanging wood at Freights will give you wood bundles(?) in your cargo as well. It's been YEARS since I've last tried this, but I remember the lv1 Wood would turn into a bundle which would restore 2000 durability over time.

If I remember correctly your ship stops getting free exp (just for being on sea) at lvl 32 (and when it gets over 1k exp). So if you are very lazy you could just set sail and refuel your ship every 40 minutes up to level 32.
