3rd Socket with restricted gems

Currently, PKO has 2 sockets, increasing the socket to 3 would give more variety of gems to be forged into pieces of equipment. Some pointers for 3rd socket
  • Have more diversity in gems forged
  • 3rd socket gems are restricted to gems such as Lust, Shining, Fiery, Furious, Explosive, shadow, shark strengthening (200hp), Bing's dodge(10 dodge), lock hit(10 hr), feng def( 10 def), Lumer rock +2 spr ( Magic class restricted), Earth rock +2 con (Magic class restricted)
  • The availability of these gems can be from PVE content like Life quest, PVP content from keys.
  • Will help in expanding content, keep players more engaged.
  • Glow changes

Restrict certain gem combinations, such as:

For example BD eye + Lust gem shouldn't be forged together in weapons; Bing's Dodging + Heart of BD shouldn't be forged together in boots.

Other than that, I think it's a nice idea.
 
Nice update. Please make sure that Bow does not get neglected again - it is SS weapon, thus should have: Sharpshooter: 3rd socket weapon - Explosive, Lust (Max lvl 3)

So what will crusas gems in the 3rd socket? fiery gems?
 
glow, feng, shinning, and shark on magic's boots please, as shadow and bing are useless on magics
 
That would be too OP. We already added +2 spr/con gems for gloves
 
The idea of the 3rd socket is good, i guess everyone in PKO dreamed about it even when i played this server 4 years ago, i'm sure none will disagree with this.


Here goes my suggestion (i hope you guys be objetive and don't ignore what i say just because of hate).


First of all, since 3rd socket is a kinda "exclusive" and is new for all (everyone will start from 0 on this) everything related to it should be hard, including: making the socket and forging on it, so if you plan to make every gem limit max lv3, it should have a chance to fail even if lv1-2 and more in lv3, this would encourage people to play and not to be like "ok i get 7 refs, 7 gems and done".


Second, this is the oportunity to fix the useless gems (fiery gem never in the life has been in used, just first year when top1 started then never used again, boosting it a bit would't make a big effect but enough to think or everyone will go use shadows gems for sure), and introduce a few new gems (not so OP but more variety), for example, there are a few atribute that can be used, such as SP, if theres HP gems, there should be SP too, critical hit rate would be also a good thing, a gem that gives like 3-5 critical, a magic gem that gives 10-20 true/magic damage/attack for magics,... or idk, i'm just giving the idea and am sure you guys can think it better. This way you can introduce new colours such as green glow, white, etc.


My point is that if you plan to make an update like this, make it worth, not just: "ok, 3rd sock we farm, forge and done", server dead again.


About gems farming, you can put various ways to get them, not just "keys". There are alot of bosses, maps, and things that ain't in use, if you don't want server to be monopoly, then don't put all in one place.

Please never let champs forge bings, they already have a high def for physical class. making them available to dodge its really a pain, believe me.

Rest is ok for me, so in conclussion.

1. Boost a bit fiery gem (5-6 attack)

2. Make new normal gems suchs as SP gem for armor, critical hit rate for weapons (people would have to choice between dodge, attack or critical), magic attack.

3. Make it obtainable from a way that include whole game world, not just fc-ds-dw-ca.

Champions should be able to forge lusts in weapon
 
will there be restrictions like: lumber rock and earth rock can't be fused on same piece, or shark str and fengs def can't be fused on same piece?

The idea is for them to only be forgeable on the 3rd socket.

I guess that's a 'yes' to my question right? Because magic class's gloves doesn't need a 3rd socket. It either has a BD heart or no gem at all. If i make one socket, does it count as '1st socket' or '3rd socket'? or I have to make 3 sockets to forge rocks?
 
Yeah, exactly. The idea is there is only one socket that can allocate those gems. We will see how it works out in production and how the Developer Team decides to implement it.
