I don't quite see why, the only gems which will actually be used are decent enough. Spirit gem is strong, Lust is strong, and Explo is average (But considering SSs won't have a lot of attack anyway, buffing Explo wouldn't solve a thing). The other gems will either be used so little, that buffing them is obsolete, or buffing them will make them the only gems used.What about making those gems a little bit stronger then? Is it possible?
The monsters in FC dropped broken gems, whereas the bosses dropped them at a much higher rate, same thing goes for DS, except with cracked gems. DW was mostly used for PK or killing the bosses; but also as a secondary ref source, because the Yeti in DW 2 have a decent ref drop rate.Well, the last time i was playing was like 3 years ago. But i remember bosses from FC/DS/DW dropping those useless gems. Or just killing mobs in FC/DS/DW wasn't that rewarding, because the ref rate was very low and the other gems were just useless.
The only place to obtain these "Useless" gems is CA chests, FC 2/3 Mobs, DW 1/2 Mobs and some higher level sea/land mobs (Someone else correct me if I missed something relevant out)
Since cracked/broken gems are removed, the mini bosses will mostly be farmed for unsealing Runes and Chests, while the "big" bosses will be farmed for unsealed equips, which makes both fine enough.
Well, Summer/Spring/Autumn bosses are kind of useless, but they do drop some decent equips, if it's well-statted. Drakan, Twilight and Colossus are some of the best higher level weapons in a vanilla server, so they're not totally useless. As for sea bosses, those are such a pain to do, and there's only few (Other than Ancient Behemoth and Black Jewel, none others come to mind tbh.), I don't think anyone would waste their time on sea bosses.Summer, spring, autumn bosses, many sea bosses or later even Skeletar/Naval base bosses. There was no point killing them, because of the bad drops... Skeletar and Naval bosses could be more important on this server though, because those are dropping things for BD sets if i remember well.
As for Naval/Skeletar bosses, they must be killed for RB and they drop Clawstones/Pawstones and Angelic Dice, so they have their use.
Most of the fun came from exploring a game unknown to you, learning something new everyday, and being able to have fun without having to grind, also a bigger playerbase, and always someone around to chat with (Might just be me, but those are the things which sort of died over the years, making the fun not the same anymore.)I don't know about others, i always wanted more. It was more fun in ToP 1 though.
Well, although I'm sure that's quite appreciated, bear in mind that this is supposed to be vanilla, now that doesn't mean that changes can't be implemented (Some already were), but I don't see why everyone's constantly moaning "Change this, change that", it just doesn't make the game feel the same anymore, not to mention it hasn't even launched. I guarantee that if something's missing after it gets launched, it can be added without having to whine here before the game's even on.I'm just giving random ideas.
I would much rather see some other problems discussed and fixed, such as botting and "botting" (Auto-loot and auto-skill)
