News In Memory of Zankza

Hello Pirates.

Today we would like to give some news on a more serious tone.

First of all, we would like to apologize for taking so much time to address this topic. The last couple of weeks have been very stressful and demanding for the whole ServerDev Team.

As some of you guys probably have noticed, Zankza has been inactive/unresponsive in-game as well as in our forums/discord for two months now. It is time to clear this topic.

Zankza has passed away on Wednesday, the 7th of February. May he rest in peace.

In his memory, we will be placing a statue of him in Thundoria, so that he can be forever part of our game and team.

As some of you know, Zankza was the CEO of ServerDev LLC. The last two months we have been dealing with all the legal paperwork as well as restructuring our company to ensure the same quality of gaming experience we have provided until now. Right now we are working double time in developing new content and awesome updates to catch up with our schedule, so rest assured that Pirate King Online is going in the right direction and we will continue doing our best for our players.

I'm glad I had a chance to return to the good old ToP thanks to Zankza and the combined power of his team's teamwork who have been working together to bring us this experience and unify new and old players. You usually don't expect to hear something like this, it happens just like that and for that it's an awful thing to go through. May he rest in peace.

It was today that I, by complete and utter coincidence, discovered the death of Zankza when I was in Thundoria Castle. I've known him since 2010 or 2011. He pissed me off sometimes with his "rich boy" attitude, but I can't deny how much he contributed to the ToP community.

As of today 10/29/2018 I Did not know about his death. I'm shocked that he has passed away.
In Cloud sea We played for Quite the time. Here are some random thoughts for him!
Today I shed a tear for a comrade.
all the good ol' times we spent together
Will not be Ever Forgotten.
We will be joining together one day my friend.
It's not my time yet, but in our Pirates Heaven
We will drink one more Bottle of booze!
all those years. all those memories remember when we got out first unseals?
was quite the time, we fought over who should have it, we had a good argue that day, but it was fine

We were friends, We lived the day by day on pixels.
and on them you will be remembered for eternity!
and even if no one remembers you after the game definitively dies.
You will live in our hearts, See you soon my friend!

A lot of time has passed since I have first heard of his death. Back then I thought that it was just some sick joke or that he just moved on to do different things in life. I never really got to know Zankaza but we exchanged words a few times and he always came across as a nice guy. He was calm, helpful and patient with players like me who would sometimes say things to rile him up. I wish I was nicer to him when he was still around especially since he is gone for good.
