Ways to obtain Blacksmith-only weapons

Evening.

Something just struck me. How come there is no way to obtain items such as the Steel pistol, Pocket pistol, Marksman Bow (+aspd variant) and other variants of standard weapons, other than buying them from the respective NPC?

It would be nice if they could either drop, appear in NSS, or be obtained from the black market.

I feel these have always given interesting ways to play our classes (for instance boosts the potential of a bow SS by giving the bow a tangible benefit over the gun other than range), yet for some reason always have been neglected with no way to obtain a decent sample.

Sure, you can buy them off the NPC, but with base minimum stats and no stat bonus - and let's face it, who wants to use such a weapon? I certainly don't.

We don't have any plans to change something like that, you may get some nice decent NPC equipment from blackmarket, see mordo.info for it's table of possible equipment.

The equipment I listed though is impossible to obtain other than through the NPC, making it essentially useless (as in, it may as well not be there).

Mordo lists it is obtainable through the gun black market item, but it isn't present in our server (among many others).

Perhaps consider adding the gun BM equipment item at some point in the future? I recall it being there at some point in PKO, I can't remember when though.

Yeah, those are the same ones I've seen. None of them (according to Mordo and Asconia) have a chance of dropping guns. Respectively, swords, staves, higher level swords, any class gloves, higher level staves, any class boots, tattoos, Explorer/voyager mantles.

...unless our server is different in that respect?

I believe those things in the Black Market reset every once in a while, and new "deals" (Purchasable items) show up.

Actually, they do according to the official TOP guides from back in the day!

As well as other Black Market items

If I remember correctly, they have a cycle of rotating items every two hours, can't be sure it was like that in the initial stages of the game though.
