What is wrong with in-game Economy / Balance Fix ?

Server is dieing..

Goto Pirateking.online

1306 players online when there was hexa ...6 months back. I was there..
now hardly 1k people online.. half of them are alts.

Even a old player can see this game is dieing ..but there is no effect on the developer . They just want to fill their pockets.

At least see why the number is reducing every MONTH in your game.? Probably lack of new players..

The only newbie is an alts. SAD

well leba I don't like the idea much myself but,,other games do it with success,,runescape made this bold move years ago, the game controls the market ,with a central market and every item has a cap,i wont go into how its set up,for that I suggest you look into runescape for a good understanding of how theirs works. And I highly doubt that refs would go much lower then the 500k cap set on them, and besides that the low cap would be 400k,or 600k high ,400k low,yes its restricting but this isn't real life, its but a game and some games need this to keep balance,

if you are talking about Runescape their economy is also player based. how thier economy work is how rare the item is and how hard to get it and how hard to make it even if the moderator has set the price but it depends on the average price each month that counts. oh dont forget about the rich is controlling the market plus how the Gran Market Work is the seller would sell high and the Rich and poor buyer would low until the whole rich and poor community would agree with the price and it takes months even year until the market is stable just like when the Runescape Grand Exchange first launch and then on the high peak or RS BOTTER moment and the BOT NUKE moment. if you look at their graph you would know its hard. By the way i would agree with you if you suggest that this game should adept a Grand Exchange or Marketplace system or something similar since it will reduce the number of player setting stall (which iam sure that it will reduce LAG 100%) and time for people searching for buyer and it will make the buyer make decision much faster rather than teleporting 3 city to search each stall to find a cheap Ration to buy

It's not dying, its normal for games to have a peak point with players, also note that this was during a hexa, also, every single game has their peak times, and the players wont stick around all the time, only the bravest and most loyal ones stick until the end!

If you see that money is hard to get.. set your target to play for 3-4 years.. many newbie quitting because they want to become stongest player in a short time. As a result, many people give up.. just my opinion. This game as we all know not a one day game but continuous gaming..

Truth sir. Thumbs Up. Those people who quits PKO is not that economy is not balance or anything they. Those people who quitted wants to become strong as soon as possible. Its not GMs problem for that changes of prices, its the people who sell it.j

Just play and work for ur stuff, people who wants full equipment fast are defently playing the wrong game :s

no one is understanding LOL.
let's find a way that rewards players for helping noobs. i never said anything about free handouts .

maybe i should've said current state of imbalance instead of economy

Well, I'm convinced that if an item is priced at some amount, it's because there's a reason for it. As you can see, Refs started going up in supply and down in demand and they are now back to 600-700k, about a week(?) after having been raised to 1m.
The market simply controls itself, unless we're talking about items hardly ever seen (i.e. BD gems), then the price is sort of up to the buyer/seller.

It's something that's very hard to make without being abused. Think of IGG and Reputation for Credits, I highly doubt everyone jumped on the bandwagon and helped newbies out, most leveled their alts and abused the reputation obtained.
Or an even better IGG example, think of Pirate Clubs. I'll be damned if more than 1% of the people using Clubs helped others out instead of making their own alts.

My point is, sure, there's a small minority of people who enjoy helping others if there's some rewards involved, but I'm convinced that people would find a way to abuse anything related to leveling someone up.
This is something that was addressed through so many private servers, but I've yet to see a system which is not abusable, or to be more realistic, abusable in such a small dose that there would hardly be a difference between making your own alts and leveling others up. If you, sir, can think of a system like that, then I truly congratulate you.
