What is wrong with in-game Economy / Balance Fix ?

Mini Intro:
Hi , I go by in-game name; Tatsuki. First of all, huge thank you to Zanzka and his team for bringing back ToP/PKO back AND taking care of it . Brings back many memories and i have not found a MMORPG to play since the game ended . Feels great to have such an amazing MMO back . I think zankza and his team have done a great job so far with balance in game . For example ; no UG/Ref Gem in mall , prevents pay to win . Changing SQ to prevent ref farming abuse and Quality of Life PvP patch for bar .
GREAT WORK SO FAR ZANZKA !

PROBLEM:
Player based economy is at a very low point . Ref gems sit in stalls for weeks and only
a handful of players can afford to buy UG Gems. Something is wrong with FC/DSers because they don't sell uns equips ... lack of strength or economy ?? is it not worth it to sell uns equips anymore ?? Rum is only worth 20-25k each , meaning 1,000 rum will only net you 20-30m in game $$$ . $100 USD / $84 EURO is only worth BoE clean fuse/lightly gemmed , GoR , lv2 GoW/GoC , and lv 41 2nd Gen Pet ?????(list goes on depending how you look at it ) Buying rum doesn't feel too worth atm.
I believe the cause of this problem is that the strong stay strong and the weak stay weak with very hard ways to get stronger and level up .

Problem A : No reason to pLvl & help noobs and plvl is almost impossible for new players to pay for . 30k per level for 20-25 ? where is a level 25 going to get 150k ? 200k for 15 minute of pLvl?? they would have to chop wood for weeks to pay up for plvl .
No one will buy your refs/gems/equips if you rob them of money they won't possibly have just to level up .
SOLUTION : Create way(s) that rewards players for plvling that doesn't take noobs money but doesn't allow people to abuse plvling alt accounts . maybe a reputation shop with high prices or items that aren't too OP for rep shop . weekend event for leveling ; 2x/3x weekends ?


I'm just sparking the fire , i think many others can help contribute too my idea to help make this happen . i'm open to suggestions and critique . Let me know what you think .
I believe that players will start leaving soon because of how hard it is to progress right now . i understand that our sever is only 1 year old but i think there is still room for improvement .

 
Hello, if you are right, something bad is happening in the server many new players come in and a month they leave it for different reasons, I have 8 months in the server and I know enough people that now no longer connects more, they arrive new and they leave so it is repeated every month, I was not 8 months online since I have to study and work, as you say many can not afford to spend 20m in a Ca or 30m n a good pet etc etc, it is something simply expensive. but what bothers me the most is that there is no companionship, dividing the exp or not having a reward for raising people of low level simply no one should give st to other people and that creates individualism, other mmorpg when you are in party exp is distributed equally and the items for the double, that creates companionship and that the players help each other. no longer looks like a mmorpg :( and by the way there are no events :(
 
I think the only problem is people asking too much gold for their items. If you stall your refs at a good price (AKA 500k instead of 800k), it will sell immediately. People are just trying to squeeze up to the last cent and trying to push the items price to what they used to cost in ToP, but forget that there is WAY less gold rotating hands in PKO (no item mall million notes and shit) than there was in ToP. That makes Gold here worth a lot more.
 
What Tatsuki have said is true. Besides, the drop rate is ridiculous very very very low which is i spent 3 CBs and not even 1 eqp drop from the mob. I did the reasearch first before i go for the farming item. Please increase the rate drop atleast for us who always stays at the bottom where we are struggling so much to trying even get 1 leg above.

The 2x exp and drop rate for every weekend what we all want to stay survive.

If this server is fine, doesnt mean you cannot take atleast 1 advice from the player. To improve from perfect to another stage also need to have some advice. Please read what Tatsuki have said and shared. Please.
 
I agree with tatsuki too...2 of my friends leave the server too cause of that economy...
 
I agree, no one can even afford a simple unseal boi which indicates that not many have cash, changes has to be made
 
If you "push" money into the game, then that means more people will have money. Okay, cool, now everyone can afford their items, gems, fairies, except not.
The more money there is in the game, the higher the costs. Because, if more people start buying expensive items, like UGs, their price will naturally rise and we'll be in the same situation again... inflation is never a good thing in the game.

Not to forget, if you make money easier to get, that means stronger people will have an even easier way to obtain that money (In theory at least), meaning that the polarization will be even stronger.
 
And as he said the game will have the rich people and the poor people...newbies will stay niwbie for ever...lets make the game unplayable for them...
 
there is a reason many left, the game is to hard, that's why 100s left pko to join a private server with better exp rates and other things, well now we are back to the start, no perks,no 7x exp and although many like it this way, as many more don't. This has been said, posted by many people many times, but still the game remains the same,the cash flow in this game has always been low,800 sellers and 200 buyers doesn't work out good for very long, servers die because they fail to expand the things that would grow the game,more,different life skills>different quests ,more special quests with higher rewards,and a drop rate that's not insane low like here, without coins everything stops, so I agree with this post 100%
 
Economy is player driven pretty much. We players decide whats worth and how much its worth unless the item is from the mall and those prices are decided by the current rum price. Prices sometimes go up then they go back down. If you have problem with the prices do not point finger at the developers since we are the ones deciding the prices not them.
 
About the newbie leveling they should level themselves or go farm up some cash, everyone who is 1st job and above can go kill oysters for pure water and blurry so there is no excuse or just grind the levels yourself. 80-90% of newbies expect free plvl, someone to hold their hand this game is 70% grind and 30% PK so if you don't want to grind buy rum.

no no no , I am not blaming anyone . I'm asking for zanzka and everyone's idea's to help create a BALANCED way to help our server thrive and flourish . Do you not see a problem that ALL cities are filled with stalls for weeks with same items ? If everyone collaborates maybe we can find a solution that will help low level players get pLvl for free AND will reward pLvlers for lvling them up without taking their money . grind oysters for bp and pure water .... that's half a solution . not all of our new players can share that spot . There is no one to blame only everyone to help .

ask yourself why people charge more?,one reason is they know someone will resale those refs for 700k if they sell them for 500k,,so then everyone raises the price,untill its top end where no one can resale to make a profit ,and at that point items just sit,only way I can see to fix that,is to put a coin cap on items themselves, then refs will never be higher then 500k.but maybe lower if someone needs fast coins.

How would that work exactly? I'm also not very fond of the idea because it feels too restricting. If refs are capped at 500k, their actual price would be far lower, no one would be able to sell them at the same price because everyone would push lower and lower.
So again, people earn less money and then we get complaints about how we need to be able to earn more money. Great.

The perfect solution will be increase the EQUIPMENT DROP RATE and lower their sell price to NPC

REASON: EQUIPMENT IS A GAMBLE

ie: why would you need a +1Str or even +1000000000str on a duck cap for ami since its totaly useless because AMI is SPR CON BASE DEVIL CHILD (in short why does the drop also include other stats when the only stats that the equipment class only lock on a character that only uses CON and SPR)

ie2: a PRO crusader Farming a Glove and poof a glove drop *HELL YEAH I FOUND A GLOVE for CRUZ* picks-up glove and sees +10 Spr :blue_squid_4:in mind "its a good glove BUT i want STR to increase my damage BUT its a SPR it can increase my MP and MP recovery BUT if i go to pvp or FC or DS or DW i cant kill anyone BUT its a SPR i can slash bit more than usual more BUT its only a few slash increase.... hmm how about i sell it for 1 million yup that sound nice" the next day set stall and sell. newbie cruz walks in "HOLY FUCK^%$#@!(censor it if you want) a +10 SPR GLOVE now i can SLASH MORE" buy it and wear it to PvP and loses alot then complain then the pro ask to look at the equipment that the newbie cruz is using then newbie cruz got laugh really hard like when you type HORRIBLE LAUGH on youtube then newbie curz feels that he got scammed 1m that he grind for 1month the become a laughing joke to the pro community even with the newbie community because the newbie community just follows the pro then the newbie curz uninstall game and play private server or other game.

other REASON: to get strong in this game its about how lucky you are on forging gem into your equips so even if you have a good equip those who forge their equips must already have a VERY good equip

#PS i can list a lot more in economy if you want to

EDIT forgot to add: the drop rate of equipment in this server is VERY LOW its like oh i want to farm a good GLOVE on that lvl 40 mob for a good FC equip then reach level 50 grinding that lvl 40 mob finnaly i got a VERY GOOD EQUIP oh wait now i cant ENTER FC and that Equip cant be good on DS

well leba I don't like the idea much myself but,,other games do it with success,,runescape made this bold move years ago, the game controls the market ,with a central market and every item has a cap,i wont go into how its set up,for that I suggest you look into runescape for a good understanding of how theirs works. And I highly doubt that refs would go much lower then the 500k cap set on them, and besides that the low cap would be 400k,or 600k high ,400k low,yes its restricting but this isn't real life,its but a game and some games need this to keep balance,
