star of unity error?

why does my star of unity exp going down instead of up? last time i checked it was almost to 50k. now it goes down to 24k

Star of Unity only stores exp when you gain exp solo.
Star of Unity will not gain any exp when you are in a party.
Star of Unity will DRAIN charges and grant you triple exp when in a party with someone more than five levels lower than you.

Note that Star of Unity does not need to be fully charged to trade in for a weapon.
