Your mall isnt rewarding

^THIS! ^ THIS! Someone should really pay attention to this.

I'm not a maller, but this place is not very attractive to mallers.
Anyways, most people dont really understand that, 6-7k usd for this project is basicly nothing. Yea, its definetly enough to keep alive servers etc, but its tottaly not enough for any dev. Even PHP devs earn about 60k a year. And PHP is very high level programming language. Here we're talking about C, which is soooooo low level language and it takes much more programming skills to do anything. Most people can't even imagine what programming in assambler means. Wa all should be happy that there are some devs that are willing to spend their time to improve this game including Zankza. Coz the incomes compared to the time spent are nothing. Like for real, NOTHING. Indeed Lietuvis, for us, guys from Baltic states 6-7k usd seems quite abit. But for hardcore Devs (kLabMouse) 6-7k usd would be a fair ammount to pay for a few weeks of work...

You don't need THAT much knowledge in that many very difficult fields if you work in other areas that's why most people don't even want to become programmers. And that's why there's a huge demand for us, the programmers. Demand for programmers, especialy with qualification, is much higher then the supply world wide. Thats why they are so well paid. And thats why Lietuvis should stop throwing the bullshit around about the fact that Zankza made few k usd and is asking for some more.

Actually it all depends on what country you work in, That's why immigration is such a big problem. I can hardly a believe that a programmer in somewhere like Latvia would be paid anything near the amount one from the UK or USA would be payed.

So 6-7k in a quite a considerable amount if you are from one of those countries and your should be able to live a well off life.

I'm from Latvia. 6-7k a year is not much here. Id say fair amount for an iOS dev in Latvia would be 2k euros. 1k for a PHP dev. We are underpaid. Like i've got a degree in computer science. I'm currently getting abit less then 12k euros a year as PHP dev which i admit, sux ass compared to UK or USA, where the numbers are twice or three times higher. I'm not into working abroad. Too damn patriotic.

complain dat server would be dead (turns rigth) now many priv server opens, old school, new school, and Zanka open this, the oldest one xD and u keep

complain, even if this game generates 1b per moth, of course the developer would like to have 2b profit, or 3b, like who wouldent, now we talking about smaller amounts of cash, but he never made you pay it, he dosent forced you rigth? who want to o it, does, who dosent' does not. Simply rigth? so Stop complaining about this and that, play alredy and good game

I must say though, as a maller, the item mall really wasn't that attractive, especially when i saw ring prices, in general, apparel costs are okay, except fork that's ridiculously higher priced, I honestly would have appreciated if he had a a lvling bundle with HBs and nanas, make them more attractively priced seeing that this is most likely 90% of the sales in item mall. or even if he gave bonuses with rum purchases. item mall was pretty much my only issue with this server, that and the constant DC issues.

if he wanted people to donate more, probably shouldn't have asked, he should have just did specials, like 40% off certain apparels, lvling bundle with HB and nana with 2x or limited time bonus on rum purchases, make people feel they're getting more for their money and they will spend more, if you did econ or marketing you'd understand that... what makes people empty their wallets? SALES, when people believe that they are getting more for their money they will spend considerably more, people will hold back all year, and as soon as a sale comes, all of their savings get blown, look at clothing store sales, electronic store sales and for us gamers i'm sure we know people that just blow their money away when a steam sale comes around

instead of asking for more, make them want to spend more. on 2x exp people will want to buy nanas and HBs, if you add an HB and nana bundle where they see they save rum, they will buy a considerably larger amount. If you want to earn more, employ marketing strategies

I'm not sure how you did your calculations of how much he has earned with the server. But im pretty sure you don't know how much it costs to pay for a high end Server and enough internet to keep the server mostly lag-less with 500+ players. You also have to take in account developers and the extra security costs. So yeah, i don't really believe he's making much of a margin out of the server. And if he is, i think it's well deserved for putting up with all the shit people are constantly throwing at him lol. So yeah.

to me the maturity i see in him talking compared to a few years back boosted me enough to play this and give it a shot

Zankza does care about non-mallers by not endorsing pay to win marketing strategy to "milking" mallers money, instead he just encouraged us nicely to pay to support, and of course, we are not being "forced" to do it.

In-game athsmospere and community is great. I don't know why, but I can feel the sense of belongings here, where no other server I played can offer.

If you don't want or can't mall, at least do not discourage others. Or to be better, you can help to encourage other to do it for you. For every income this server receive, it's actually helps you too without you realizing it.

Forget about things of the past, we are moving far from it everyday. Don't let it to follow you.
Let's help together to build a great future for this server so it will not just become another 'things of the past'.

IKR! some of the best players are here! damn its so nostalgic. I cant stop playing 20hours a day and just sleeping for 4 hours! lol this is the 1st server/game that made me mall. i never malled any other online game. just this because I want to show support and also to help me get drunk with rum!! I love rum! <3 xD

other best players are coming too! you can bet on it! they are just staying silent as usual!! xD
