Ship leveling

What does increasing the ship's level do?
Also, as a sea voyager, do you think I'd benefit from having 3 ships, one in each map (all three would be the max from thundoria), or I should keep 1 and level it and use it to the max.

Leveling up the ship increases atk,hp and speed if I recall. You can level up all three ships if you want no problem at all

But there's a benefit to having one single ship, since I'd be able to have one level ship.

If you really feel like focusing on leveling up one then go for it

I'd recommend leveling just one ship and keeping it in the main map you're gonna use it for. This allows you to have an actual very strong ship, besides, shaitan doesn't have any useful ship, unless you take one from another city.

I'd recommend you getting the thundoria harbor ship Great White Shark and leveling it, since this ship has the highest attack and it's pretty useful when it comes to bossing and farming.

However, Great White Shark is low in defense and HP, so if you don't feel like being on your toes while using it, you can go for the Icicle ship Eagle, which has lots of defense, HP and a slightly increased movement speed. This one has a much lower attack but it's useful for prolongued bossing sessions (such as kraken) and prolongued farming sessions (gotta farm them caviars!).

Those 2 ships are pretty much the only 2 actually useful options, but if you can level both ships, then that's completely amazing.

I'll do just that! Thank you for the advice. I'm using the shaitan one right now to level, I'm too bored of using my main to level...

Long-term investments are much better here. You're in no real hurry to level a ship (Hell, you can do with a lv1 even until Kraken). You're much better off leveling an Eagle or GWS as Luisa said, leveling a Goddess is a slight waste of time.

Yeah but right now all I can use is the Goddess... I'm not level 45 yet. I have both eagle and GWS, one with mechanical arm and the other with fishing net. I haven't been leveling the Goddess since I'm just going to sell it back as soon as I'm 45

You can keep the Goddess because I personally like to have one in Shaitan if no other ship's available. You'll need it for some Story Quests and farming certain items. But good call on not leveling it.
