From Little Daniel's diary...
Today I met Faubey in Shaitan City. After his previous work was proved right, he returned to researching metaphysics in his spare time.
The meeting took place in a Researcher Club, where they finally completed the transfer of the plates from the temple in the Forgotten City. It turned out to be a bit depressing - the text was a legend about the early years of our world...
"There was only night in the world. Eternal night ('night' could also mean 'undeground air', this ancient language is puzzling). And the people lived in darkness. But then, Kara came who brought light to the world ('light' - 'above ground air', the language is puzzling). And so the people came to light as well. Kara accepted them and granted them her knowledge. People accepted her and gave her faith in return. And the ..." many frayed fragments here "... began. They changed each other; people got power, but Goddess Kara got the thirst for power. She distanced herself from the people, but people's faith meant that she was limited. Her desire was so great however, that the universe itself shattered in pieces. It burst into fragments, each reflecting one another, from which a tree of worlds was born - and thus, Kara lost part of her power and was no longer the same Goddess. But parts aspire to be whole and so the worlds will unite. Kara will once again meet her Goddess aspect and the faith of the people will make them melt into one. And the cycle begins again..."
It is now clear where Mirages come from; fragments of the same, true world, they are but a reflection. But since we see them, could it be that the fragments are coming together? Will we perhaps meet such a reflection in the near future?
