Does anyone know the chances for a pet to fail leveling up with fruit?

I heard that the failure rate is higher when using great fruits and if the pet is higher level but I'm not sure if this is true.

i already lvled a pet way more than 60 times and it never failed with me. but i already saw it failing with friends few times...

Hey, I think it can only fail between the levels of 13-20. As for those higher levels, I don't think it's possible for it to fail above lv20, but who knows, pet failing is a mere speculation.
Though it's maybe worth noting that you're unable to level your pet at lv40, even with normal fruits.

My great fruit failed 1st time at lv 15. So yes it is possible to fail.
