No writers room so I'll just leave this here
(Plain txt at bottom for easier reading).
Cold winds cut through to the bone as Ami clinging to Phyllis' leg and peered out across the frozen waste that stretched before them. As frozen flakes floated down landing upon her tiny frame she shivered and looked up noticing a troubled glance in Phyllis' eyes. 'How much further?' she murmured, her frail voice barely carrying above the low howl of the wind. Phyllis placed a gloved hand atop Ami's head pulling the child closer 'Almost there little one', she tried to sound reassuring but could hear the worry in her own voice. Around her the darkness seemed to stretch on indefinitely, the crescent moon hidden behind low hanging clouds offered little to illuminate the dark landscape and the swirling snow further obscured her vision. Regretting the decision they had made to leave the safety of small haven of Atlantis Phyllis clutched Ami's hand and trudged forward into the darkness..
Lance paused putting his feathered quill between his pursed lips, 'Hmm, Yes, I think that's a good start to my story' he thought to himself. Smiling slightly he placed the quill on the crude wooden desk in front of him, picked up his sword and headed out the door.
