Improving Crafting system

I understand the vanilla thing and is good to keep many things as they are but crafting is the most useless skill there is in my opinion, Any chance this could be improved ? Maybe equps from crafting could have a better chance to have high stats at least.

PD: Wrong channel but I couldnt change it after
