Hi.
This guide is aimed at fixing a problem that's been around for quite a long time, creating dissatisfying gameplay moments and making the game feel less robust. The matter at hand is a problem that's been occurring primarily on Windows 10 PCs, with the following issues:
The solution is as follows:
Step 1: Open Control Panel
Step 2: Select "Programs"
Step 3: Select "Turn Windows features on or off"
Step 4: Locate "Legacy Components and check 'DirectPlay'
Step 5: Wait for the process to finish and restart your PC
And that's all.
Note 1: I am aware that this issue may not happen to everyone, or even a majority of the people. To me it happened quite a lot and it was incredibly frustrating to play the game during periods when this "lag" was persistent. Anyone who did experience this, knows that being able to fix it is bliss. Hence this guide was made.
Note 2: This solution/guide is not mine. The credits for the original one go to Santa from the Russian community. The following guide is a translation/adaptation of his and its sole purpose is sharing this knowledge to a larger number of people.
Hope people are able to find this useful. Happy gaming!
