Talk to Blacksmith Smithy in Shaitan City to forge your equipment. Equipment can only be forged if it has at least 1 socket on it and
each socket can only contain 1 type of gem. To forge a piece of equipment requires one attribute Gem and one Refining Gem as catalyst
(attribute Gem level must be higher than existing attribute Gem of similar type in the equipment by 1 and Refining Gem must be higher than
the forging level by 1). Gem used will disappear after forging, regardless of success or failure. Only weapons from Lv 40 onward will glow
when equipped. Forging of Lv 4 attribute Gem will have a certain rate of failure. When forging fails, only Gem used will disappear.

Equipment that can be forged
Monsters will drop equipment that might have sockets on them. Only equipment with at least 1 socket can be forged.

Socket Count: Equipment must have at least 1 socket in order to forge!

Forging Procedure
1. First, you need to have a piece of weapon, armor, glove or shoe with a socket. After that, you will need to have 1 attribute Gem and 1 Refining Gem with level matching that of the equipment. Example: You need a +5 Blade of Enigma, Lv 6 Eye of the Black Dragon and Lv 6 Refining Gem in order to make a +6 Blade of Enigma.

2. Talk to Blacksmith Smithy in Shaitan City at (902, 3495) and select the option Forge to open up Forging Interface.

1. Place weapons, armors, gloves or shoe into the first slot.
2. Place attribute gem into the second slot.
3. Place Refining Gem (catalyst) into the third slot.
4. Forging Fee: 100000G x level of item.

Example: To forge an item from +4 to +5 requires 5 x 100000G = 500000G.

Equipment level is not dependant on Gem level. For instance,

1. To make a new piece of equipment to +1 requires one Lv 1 attribute Gem, one Lv 1 Refining Gem and 100,000 gold.
2. To make a +1 equipment to +2 requires one Lv 2 attrbute Gem, one Lv 2 Refining Gem and 200,000 gold.

Please note: Seal equipments will lose its forging bonus if you unseal it at the researcher.

Regarding Sockets and Forging
1. A piece of equipment can have up to a maximum of 2 sockets.
2. The number of sockets determine the amount of different type of gems that can be forged onto the equipment

Nice guide. I was initially unsure if failing started when the equipment was at +4 but it turned out to only fail when the gem itself is at Lv. 4.

That screenshot of putting a Black Dragon Eye in a newbie knife though...

can you gem clean, unfused unseals (of course if they have socket. can they be socketed?)?

Yes you can gem unfused equipments if there is socket in it. But you cannot make it 110% effectivness, because only fused equipments can be strenghten.

but you can strengthen them once you fuse it right? i don't have much gold (in short i'm poor) so i'm doing it one step at a time and trying to get the best of my gold. :D

Yes of course, you can fuse it later on. But keep in mind that you will need to put fusion catalyst in the mix otherwise your gems will disappear.
