CA Tweak

Will we have CA vision open or will it be restricted? If restricted, everyone is gonna use CA tweak, since the game is the same as ToP 1... so it would be better to either make vision free or do something in the server that prevents CA tweak from working.

it's Vanilla. If you want to - tweak it. Client won't have tweak inside it.

If my memory isn't tricking me, I think this was mentioned in the old serverdev topic about the server. I believe CA will be blind (or "restricted" as you called it) but such will be configured server-side which means you won't be able to tweak it. Correct me if I'm wrong tho

As for the other guys, thank you for the answers... i also think it should have open vision or be blinded on the server side... the unbalance between tweak and not weaked players is totally unfair...

What I really like about the Blind is that it doesn't fully prevent grouping, it's impossible to make CA a FFA zone as people will always find a way. But it doesn't make grouping completely effortless. You do need to use voice chat or alts in a party to be able to communicate, BUT, unless you're organised and know what you're doing, you'll mess everything up.

Other than that, as I said earlier, not having Blind just makes grouping too easy and no effort at all has to be put into it.

what you are saying is that it makes the game unfair, actually... we don't have a built in voice chat, nor can some people use it due to pc performance problems, that's also valid for alts... some can't use them cause their pc's are weak... others don't speak good english and can't be understood in voice chat... it's much better to make conditions equal for all.

Plus i really (REALLY) dislike using alts, and i don't think it should be a a feature in the game (even though most of the community would hate it since everyone is used to having alts). Each player should play using their own character... if you are a crusader you shouldn't be able to TS with a buffer, you should have someone in your party to TS for you...

i think that most, if not everyone should be able to run 2 clients on a modern pc, but still i'd prefer free vision i mean, i don't think it'll take much from the original feel of the game, provided that most people used CA tweak

The tweaking of CA couldn't be avoided or prevented in any way. I believe Zankza said so himself.

I agree. If CA is blind, those who have the better strategy, even if they are maybe weaker in terms of raw power, have a good chance of winning by tricking the enemy, you're going to attack a friend if you don't pay attention, if you don't communicate and that is a big factor about CA in my opinion.
It makes a huge difference in the way you PK compared to other mazes, not to mention the damage distribution.

And yes, of course server side, otherwise people will use their tweak again and it will be unbalanced.

People used to not tweak for they did not know about it.
Once it got public and people found out about it, of course everyone wanted to have the advantage to see the player in front of them.

But I think the original CA is the blind one and we should try to get it back.

It makes things much more exciting, not knowing who is the guy at the chest. Is he strong? Stronger than me? Is it my friend? Am I able to beat him?
I prefer this to the "ohh it's player xy, I can't win, gotta run"

Yeah! you'd see someone chesting and you would run up there stunning him. THen you realize he's way stronger and you gotta run and before you know it the enemy guild caught you because now they knew where you were and you're an enemy.

Yeah, the enemy guild caught you because they have CA tweak and you don't hahahahahahaahaah... but really, just leaving it with vision open, im certain there a lot of coding involved in making the blind "server side", zankza used to talk about it a long time ago in foxlv... it will be hard enough to survive bd mobs like this

I would prefer CA to be blind, however there will always be that one geek who will find a way to tweak and that will give huge advantage to his buddies or the guild he is in...
