1st gen pet or 2nd gen pet

should i get a 1st gen pet or a 2nd one? i dont think i will have possesion in a long time, so is there any reason why i should pick the 2nd gen?

Personally id get a low lvl 2nd gen, that poss will be so damn handy for u later, and its not too pricey either, so its really a good deal to get it and then maybe lvl it at ur own speed (thats what i did some years ago)

2nd. If you can afford a 2nd gen pet and leveling it/feeding it, you can afford possession relatively soon too. 1st gen pet is simply not worth the effort, and 2nd gen pet is an investment you'll make for a lifetime in this game - it's one of the few items you won't ever need to change or adjust.
