Liked the idea of using ToP 1 client but:

-Doing the 1st job change is a annoying chore.
-Questing is a chore.
-Barely any gold income early on (not enough for simple essentials)
-Level 8 needed to get in party.
-Good luck leveling a herbalist, cleric, sealmaster, carsise.
-No Dream City (Removing access to Region of Demons and whatever the other one is called is OK)
-Making and alt account is a chore.

Long story short, the server is wayyy too vanilla. Very inaccessible to new players unless you're aiming for crusader or sharpshooter. There are 3rd party programs and stuff that helps but it kinda bleh having to go out of my way to get those.

How can you like the idea of using the ToP 1 client if you can't even go through the 1st job change without getting annoyed?
Questing is part of the vanilla experience, you don't need much income early on because the yellow box gives you the "simple essentials". You don't really need to party before lv8, it is not necessary to do the newbie guide's quests with other people. Also, leveling herbalists and clerics it's not that hard, they have a really good dps aswell. Carsise is indeed a dificult class to lvl up tho.
Dream City was fun because at the time they introduced it people wanted new content but as time passed people started missing the good old top1 experience.
It's inaccessible to people that have never played ToP before, but for ToP players that are coming back I think it's a enjoyable vanilla experience.

lol and he said he was a long time top player lmfao. dude herbalist is the second easiest class to lvl up to 40 explorer being the easiest.

Why do you play tho? You know it will be TOP 1 right?

Well, ppl are used to play private server. But progressing slow like this is very 2009ish, which is fun for some ppl.

Goodluck finding on finding server that will suit you :)

only thing i dislike is the p2w feeling, if you want to lvl, you need HB's, but without malling you can't get them.
The only thing i disliked in old top, was that it was p2w. I barely can play a p2w server, either I have to pilot a friend which has a nice char and start my way there, or just cry in a corner.

I decided on making my own server for personal use with friends and collage mates. Ill overhaul the game completely to what I believe ToP should have been.

I think this server has it's purpose of what it should be as Hugo stated above being a vanilla server, if not in fact has been everything ToP should be.

Been there when ToP1 was at it's peak in rainbow with the best players, when clubs had been introduced and exploited until it eventually took a transition into becoming ToP2 with transfers merges and items in mall that started to kill it really bad and they dragged on for such a long time with it

It is not pay to win yet or I believe not, the moment the owner throws in UG's and starts auctioning sets or weapons is when you'll start to see the "pay to win" because you will see a REAL defining line of players who are "pay to win" and those who are grinding like the game is meant to be.(i.e throwing someone in with in game gems vs someone with all round lv5 UG's....-and it could be much more terrible than that-)

That being said the mall is fine the way it is, really.
-The only thing it sling shots is as DefinetlyNotJap said is the leveling which is Nana's and HB's, but even then it's still a grind with no Exp events or any other exponential exp items (2.5, 3x, 4x amps) Alu would guarantee be a higher if there were exp events or any of those amps, alot of people would be also it all comes down to if you're willing to grind it out
-The other thing is the 110% which isn't also bad due to the fact not many things are implemented to make that extra 10% HUGE like it did in the latter half of ToP1 and of course in ToP2.
-The fairies are on a fence because they all take time which is semi of a grind you need to be on and afk it if you want the max pet lvl, or the 2nd gen you want.
-Players can keep financing themselves through the mall but it ultimately depends on how they utilize that money and if they are still willing to grind

For people mouthing at Mallers that "pay to win" or get to places faster. I could be justifying myself, but to make money you work in real life->hence you are still working->and not being in game, having extra cash to spend on a game that brings nostalgia, why not? A 7 hour shift daily if it's not a double shift is completely draining than being in front of a computer all day. Heck and even if I mall that HB and Nana I still have to put in every 15 minutes of time I kinda don't have to get to the next level lol.

The owner is doing something I had always talked about a long time ago, wether he keeps it in this direction or goes another or even shuts the server down im glad I even got to play it at where its at and not being surrounded by +18 all around equipment people, or having a whole guild trying to zerg just 1 player who truly,TRULY paid to win haha. It's only the beginning we'll see where it goes.

That's not really true. I'm not a maller but making money (1 or 2m, enough to buy a good portion of hbs) is pretty simple. It doesn't take crazy farming or a high intelect, just good tact for the market and using what the game offers you. And with the offline stall function it's even easier to make money overnight selling unwanted things, it's really really handy. It's not about playing hard, it's about playing smart (and honest). Sure playing hard helps though.

This is the greatest and smartest explanation that i read on this forum. even the so called "PROS" i used to know said that the server is P2W but this clearly explains it is not. and i agree on this!

having a whole guild trying to zerg just 1 player who truly,TRULY paid to win haha.

Clearly you haven't met Jortza

we dont need some nob shit ingame so please leave we all having fun ingame so we dont need nobs who complains!!
We don't need kids bashing others for simply stating their opinion and how they feel about the game either. Although some things he's said are far from correct (Herbalists having a hard time leveling for instance), everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you should respect that.

i don't think herbalist have a hard time if they are really eager to do so, sorry wasn't bashin him either its just hes trying to bash the server itself cause the game didn't go the way he wanted, and anyways guess what hes the only one who complain about that shi1t didn't u see all the old players when the server started? did they ever complain about those shit?
