Small Ideas to give purposes.

yea i know, hex was added in june/july not sure when the 2x started .. but the game was different at that time, and for all we know they could have had a different experience set up, like i honestly don't mind if he doesn't add hex until like next week, but at least have a little 2x event or some other event. i wasn't there at release but i'm more than sure that they did host events
 
the thing that i'm saying is that this server is different, cause 1 we are experience and 2, i'm sure that this server has less starting people than top did.
Note: server only really has like 80-100 different people. rest are just alts
 
About the catch up part, actually the reason for level 70 soft cap and gem level cap is to make newcomer easier to catch up.
lvl 70 cap is only for first week, i've never seen anyone get 70 in a week, without hex/2x when they used to make new servers and have lvling events highest i've ever seen was probably 67 after 2 weeks and i'm sure that we had 2x/3x too .. and i recall them moving at this same pace or about (60 after 2-3 days) i know for sure that people were in the 40-50 range after 24 hours

"lv70 softcap" - everyone who is leveling after level 70 will get half exp and no mirage. It's to prevent people from getting too high level for now but still possible to level if they're hardcore enough but still can't get too far.
This server is very very new and still need more promoting and advertising. Nobody would join if everyone is already high level.

well that's true and not true.. and idk bout you but i consider 70 relatively high lvl, especially with the difficulty also people still joined top when there were lvl 100s. so people would actually join, as long as they have something to use where they know they'll get to a good point.
 
God why is everyone complaining. IT IS A 1x ORIGINAL SERVER. You are not going to get all levels in 1 day. So what if people complain and want to quit because they aren't level 70 yet after 3 hours of playing. Your not going to get levels or items easily like every server in the last 5 years. Enjoy the journey up and don't rush it is all I have to say. If you don't want to do that then this is probably not the server for you, sorry.

However, this thread needs to be considered in the future.
Let's say in a couple of months, some of us will be above 70 maybe some reach 80, who knows what comes.
By that time leveling will still be very hard and many new players will lose interest because even the very beginning takes too long.
I'm not saying give them free sand bags and amps to shove em up to 70, no.
What I'm saying is, show them that it's possible, give em a relatively pleasant time in the first few levels, so reaching lv 40-50 will not be such a hassle. (Remember, we're talking about the future, not the present)
By that time, level 50 will not be all that high anymore, however it will put those new players closer to us and seeing their level being 55 instead of 15 will keep them here and put effort into it.
Whether you like it or not, a server will die if no new players will ever come, because eventually, some people will always quit, and those new players will be the "stars" of tomorrow.

i agree with this thread @Zankza you should think about what will happen on the future xd

exactly what i'm saying, no one will join unless there is some way they know they can actually catch up to the top. in top 1 that was hex and 2x/3x exp on weekends.
I say you can keep one hex after the 2nd week(maybe like the 14th) and then you can have small 2x exp events and something to do with rep (so that the higher lvls don't focus solely on lvling themselves). sure some will run alts but lower lvls would still benefit

Also, I wanted to suggest somehting for Hexathlon:

As we all (probably) know, Hexathlon used to require Pink Pearl in one part of the quest, before it was replaced with the Super Candy Stick.
In an earlier thread we discussed, that if Hexathlon will be held as an event, it will require Super Candy Sticks (from Mall only) and not Pink Pearl.
My idea was this: Since Hexathlon should give (all) players the chance to level up, maybe without even using real money, we could have both these items required as an option, and the player chooses which one he would like to use. Basically, if you wanna do hexathlon without farming and rather spend some real money, you use the required amount of Candy, if you're a non-maller, you will go and farm the pink pearls. You'll only need one of these.
In this scenario, Super Candy Stick should be a non-tradeable item, so that people actually go farm pink pearls to either use them or sell them. (If Candy is tradeable people buy only the cheaper option).

I like this idea, because first of all, both items are Vanilla for Hexathlon.
Secondly, it gives mallers the chance to be lazy and support the server with financial power ($$) and more importantly it gives the server more sources of money income that people can decide to use and overall more variety.

In the beginning leveling is supposed to be hard, hex takes this difficulty away.
Hex can be one solution for later, so people who are new can catch up to a certain point in a relativlely easy way.
For now, exp events are what we need.
With those everyone benefits the same amount and it still requires work.
totally, it's too early for hex tbh original top didn't start hex until like 2 months after (although they had a significantly larger player base) i say 2x exp is enough. although at 70, if how i'm thinking the exp will be is correct, we will have no option but hex

I'm sure if he implements hexathlon, he will activate Mirages, too.
But at Lv70+ you gain like 3% / hex-run.

i see what you're saying, but then mallers could also just buy the pink pearls or farm themselves. that could work though, candy sticks are guaranteed to be sold but they would have to be very cheap, i'm talking like a stack for 15-20 rum

yea but how much exp you think you gonna get in mirage with .5x exp and no 2.5x amp? that 3% you'd get from 5 mins in hex, i believe at .5x without 2.5x amp, it'd take much longer. already at 50+ getting 10% takes a while

of course mallers can buy the pink pearls, I just think, making Candy untradable and giving the option of pink pearl as well, makes it more equal for nonmallers, since they're not dependant on a maller selling it to them, while mallers can still get their advantage through malling.

making it untradable though? i think that's unnecessary, what if i wanna share my candy sticks with a friend?

The point of making it untradable is, if both, pink pearl and candy, can be sold, then people will only buy the cheaper one and the other one will not be used, hence making this whole idea useless.

yea but think about it, people will go for the cheaper one, which would be the farmable pink pearls right? then there's no need to make it untradable because most people already going towards the pearls but, mallers would be able to opt out of using gold or farming and just get candy sticks in mall, they still get their advantage, because the candy sticks are not likely to sell, which effectively makes it "untradable"

But Pearls might be a bit scarce, as said they're harder to get and there's gonna be a limited amount in the stalls.
If you can't find pearls as a maller, you'll probably buy some candy.
