As you may have seen our guides are quite informative, they are however very badly formatted. The pictures are very low quality and usually out-dated. I'm looking for player-based committee as it was found the game developers do note excel at making guides as our perspective usually differ from players. To begin the process of Game Guide Committee, I'm looking for some fine candidates to help write and prepare guides for next generation of players to use. The guides will vary and cover all important ascepts in the game, we have already many topics in our guide center, but all of them needs to be rewritten.

Please review the guide center yourself, if you see lots of things where you may add and improve the guide center, IE when re-writing the guides you know what exactly should be mentioned along favorable personal tips, consider to volunteer becoming Game Guide Committee. Volunteers will be tasked with tasks that covers certain topics and all volunteers is expected to hand-made some of most comforting guides to water-break the new players into playing PKO.

Today, if you are feeling like to contirbute back to Pirate King Online, Please fill out the Self-Nominate google-form. The admins will review and choose candidates that qualifies our expectations and begin to task volunteers. The following form can be found below:

UPDATE: The self-nominating is over. Thank you to all who have submitted. stay tuned.

Thank you,
Pirate King Online Team

Like the idea but people like to have incentive, why don't we make this as a event and give away maybe forum trophies for the informative and complete guide ;)
This is not something I want to conflict, personal benefits getting in way of quality guides is no-no.

what about badges/medals, some like a icon under ur name forum for example as a mention "Guide Master" or other thing, like others forums do, just decorative! and that badges/medals can be obtained in forums event only or for a important contribution on forum!

In other games i liked to do forum events and guides only to have many badges/medals :p

just a idea for motivation and do forum active!

I like where this is going

you can see the pokeball on that 4th ribbon lol.

Good idea though, Forum distinction for helpers.

I'll try reading through guides some time and see if I can provide extra tips on some things.

We do already have medals system and drawn lists of medals already. Hint: It's used by HoP.

If you want real good guides, you may need to put up a second server with GM abilities for the guide writers. A character build guide is impossible to do with out being able to reset stats and get different equipment.

Now, I've only tried it with aspd for cruses. I was able to find out that aspd is calculated as base aspd*Eq Bonuses*Skill bonuses. It's a matter of finding out the exact bonuses of the items and skills(especially skills because they are not defined properly in some cases). Very do-able with what we have access to.

E.g. you have 140 aspd. You have dual BOEs and max blood frenzy. your final aspd = 140*1.2*1.2. Blood Frenzy only gives 20% aspd, and each BOE gives 10%.

The only real advantage of that, imo, is finding out the rates of the skills instead of creating the chars ourselves and trying them out but I think that is more of a developer problem. They should fix the definitions of skills.

Besides, that might not be what we're trying to do here. We want guides to be more of a player experience thing more than anything. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

I agree with @FinalLegacy a guide is more of a player experience in each build not the exact calculation of stat etc :D
