Great work Zankza , i have nothing much to say but respect to the efforts.

yea buddy! +1, could you please put the countdown? @Zankza =)

Nice one, Zankza. I admire the amount of work you're putting into pleasing player's wishes. Hexa is the favorite event by newcomers.

and the shop hunt for Super Candies starts.... make it cheap guys, please.
And thanks for the Hexa Event! :)

As a player that recently joined the server I think 100k for super candy is way too expansive, I may do one but there's no way I can afford more...

Basically what @Arderyan said.

In the old TOP days one could train disciples for award centre points, which then allowed you to buy SCSs.

That is not the case now, and while I do understand the need to support the server by contributing to the mall, from the outside perspective the SCS is far too costly to obtain.

I partially agree with you here. The part I do agree on is how expensive Candies are, especially for new players who should be the ones benefiting most from Hexa (Newer people stuck at a certain level), since leveling otherwise is an even bigger cost as well.

However, I assume that the fact why ToP had a "free" way of getting those was because there was a much bigger demand, and no I don't mean larger playerbase, I mean demand on an individual level.

ToP had Hexa once per week (as opposed to every few weeks here) which lasted an hour, whereas we get an hour spread across three different times, meaning that a good amount of people won't be able to catch all three times, further reducing the amount of candies needed. (As far as I know, the server has quite a few asian and southamerican people, for whom not all the times are quite convenient).

So if you take the amount of candies needed for an average hexa event here you'll see that it's multiplied quite a few times on old ToP.

I'm all up for adding more convenient non-maller ways of getting Candies other than throwing a bunch of cash at rum sellers, but the amount that's obtained has to be under control, and generally I can't think of a way other than getting it as a (random) prize through some other events for it to be fair.

Twice a week for two hours at a time*

Remember there was two hexathlon runs per weekend to satisfy all the diverse timezones.

At any rate, I do agree these candies should be obtainable in-game.

In which way so it is more viable to buy them than it is to try and obtain them? I couldn't even begin to guess I'm afraid. Perhaps someone has better ideas?

Around the time that Hexa was still there I had just begun playing the game and I had no idea there were two of them, good to know. Doesn't change the equation much, except some players may have been able to catch both.

Well yes. That's pretty much why it's so difficult to change these kinds of things. Either obtaining it is made too easy so it becomes a dead item in the mall or it's made too difficult that farming money and buying them is outright better. Let's not forget that the targeted audience for this change are "weaker" and new players, and making it easy for them to obtain it means that, generally, stronger/older players will be able to get them even more easily.

I truly think it would be more productive for you RIGHT NOW to think in ways of making money to buy those candy sticks than thinking of ways to change how its obtained. I mean, if you leveled up alone until lv40 for some hours you most definitely got some new sheepkin scrolls, you sell each of them for 25k ea, buy lv1 sandbags with that money, use 4 bags to make 4 newbies you just mentored to lv20 and do class change to obtain hb, sell the mini amps and hb and do it until you have enough money to buy the candies, each party you do gives you money for 1 hexa and a little leftover for the next. If you can't dedicate a few hours to something this simple, then everything else will be too much for you anyways.

Not everyone has multiple accounts and not everyone can plvl a full party of alts like that. This pricing was always an issue from the first time there was hexa on the server where people would have asked for alternative ways to obtain them. Nothing happened then and I don't think this time around its going to be any different.

Well , in my opinion the pricing is a issue only for new\lazy players, after they get past lv50 and start getting money it's not a problem to them anymore, it's a salty price, but affordable. At least that's the explanation I can come up with, as far as I can see it's always new players complaining and the ones complaining before this hexa probably won't complain next hexa, because either they will quit or they will be in a better financial situation. Doing what I suggested is one way to do it, if a new player has the whole week (with hours of bonus drop everyday) to get 500k + and can't get it, what are they doing in game? They could just gring their way through, hexa is not mandatory, it's a shortcut for grinding. I mean, I started on a day, 3 days later I was lv41 with 300k, and from there on my money only increased, no rums purchase involved or anything, just grinding and seizing opportunities.

Here's what they can do:
Story questing
HB Method I mentioned
Farming NSS
Manufacturing bags and flash bombs (each or bag flash bomb can be sold for up to 6k, 20 flash bombs\bags equal 5 usages which is average for a bp, enough money for a candy stick already)
Chop Fortune Trees and sell what comes as loot
Chop Defoliated Pines and get Ash Wood Strips
Level themselves up and sell lv up to lower lv players
Farm Sealed Bluprints
Farm fake documentation and other valuable items at Smugglers
Buy Rums (It's a valid way)
Collect fairy coins from afk players and sell each stack for 20k or try their luck on jackpot
Salvage something

If they can't do even 1-2 of these then they are just trying to create an excuse to get free stuff.
