SQ Bugged "Testament of the Piety"

hey,
i'm stuck on this story quest where it tells me to get a Righteous Document from the High Priest - Gannon which asks me to kill multiple monsters in order to get, As soon as I finished the Anibus test I went to him and he handed me the document and as soon as I got the item I rushed to the Holy Priestess - Ada which tells me that the quest is not completed but it says item obtained 1/1 and I have it in the inventory.
