    chair actually can be fused with 1 handed swords only , but it occupy both the slots ( so 2 hands) and thats make no sense coz no one would use it , would be more logical to let players fuse it with 2 handed swords and so make it a regular 2 handed sword.

    IDK what is the problem i Just finished the quest called Past and Tragedy . and after that quest i only got the Exploration Spirit quest. It should give me 2 other quest the one missing is this Find Granny - Beldi (2277, 2769) and she'll ask you to retrieve her Ancient Earring
